Haha and the best part it was a Wednesday! Had big rain on the farm and had been going for a few weeks straight so took the chance to go recharge the batteries.

Thanks Steve👍 glad you enjoyed. Can't quite see it on the footage but as I cranked the lure I could see her head appear from under the log and come barrelling toward the lure. Thats when I knew I was in strife. 😂

Hey mate, try placing a stinger hook into the body of the soft plastic with the hook facing upwards, mount it in the tail so your weedless hook goes through the eye of that hook, then you'll have one hook on the tail exposed, but pointing upwards and your weedless rig keeping it upright so it hopefully doesn't snag. Obviously you'll need a stinger hook with an eye big enough for the weedless hook to pass through. Good luck mate, tight lines.

Thanks for the tip Mark. I'll give this a go. I'd be a little worried having the hook inside the tail might take away from some of the action. I think the pay off for being completely weedless/snag free is missing a few bites. I also think that I'm missing the smaller fish most big bites I get on them seem to connect. Thanks again for the tip!

Hook the treble into the bottom section… that’s how I’m fishing with something similar

Thanks I'll give it a go👍 I reckon they get a lot more bites mainly because I'm not scared to let it go deep into the structure however missing the bites is very frustrating. The few good fish I've caught on them never miss though so I'm probably just missing the rats.
