For long time storage, Onion should be stored between 0 to 4 Degree Celsius and 65-70% Humidity. This will achieve storage time of 6 to 9 months.
We are providing economical solution for storage of onions. You can reduce the temperature below 4 Degree Celsius by using normal split AC or window units fitted with our special electronic device. You can either construct a cheap new cold room or convert an existing storage room into a cold storage. These units can work with normal house electricity or with portable generators. Hence the electricity consumption is very low compared to normal cold storages.
Depending on the size of the room, we will recommend the number of split AC units required. Any normal technician can easily install these AC units. Also there is no annual maintenance charges for the same.
• You can build very small cold storages from 1.5 meter x 1.5 meter to very big rooms up to 50 meter x 50 meter.
• If you ever want to move the cold storage, it will be very simple
• Almost 50000 units are working satisfactorily for past 10 years around the world.
• If you don’t have a regular power supply at your farm, you can use a small portable generator on petrol, diesel, kerosene etc.
You can also use these cold storages for storing any items at any temperature above zero 4 Degree Celsius such as fruits, vegetables, flowers, chocolates, dairy products, etc. Small restaurants, farmers etc. can use these cold rooms conveniently.
This system will control temperature to the desired levels. If you want to control humidity, we will supply an additional equipment known as dehumidifier. However we recommend initially to control only temperature and use our free meter to check the humidity. If the humidity readings are high, we will be able to supply humidity control equipment.
Our regional offices in USA, Germany, India or Dubai will provide necessary assistance and we will supply the electronic circuit separately which is easy to install.
If you open the doors more than once in 15 minutes, the efficiency goes down. If you really require more frequent door openings, it is better to add additional AC units.
This cold storage will be useful for onion producing countries including India, Pakistan, Egypt, Turkey etc.
We can also provide an optional phone call alert system to generate phone calls to your operators if the generator runs out of fuel, in case of power failure, high temperature etc.
The system has been tested and certified by NewYork State Energy Research and Development Authority for cold room applications.

In our country we have a lots of onion at a cheaf price when it is winter. But the price of onion increase day by day until next winter because of the lacking of storage systems in our country. It can be helpful for us if it is less costly.
