ALSO - let’s be REAL. Divorce happens in the majority of cases due to selfish desires… I love marriage, because you realise, God, is just a genius. Nothing in this world shines spotlight on human selfishness, quite like marriage. When I first got married, to my shame, I used to focus on what my wife wasn’t, in various ways how she wasn’t what I wanted. But as I began to draw closer to God, that’s when God starts getting real with you. And highlighting your own selfishness. The Holy Spirit cuts you down to size and humbles you, and he starts to make you view marriage and your spouse, with a holy reverence. Before you get married, you should tremble with a holy fear, because what you’re entering into, is very serious before God. And if you allow the Holy Spirit to lead you and shape you, God is gonna use that marriage to change you radically, for the better.

But the more you feed on Gods Word daily, it will start changing you internally. The more you draw closer to God, the more the things that bothered you about your spouse will fade, and the focus will become service, and love out of the overflow of your relationship with God. It’s sad to say…. One thing I find very difficult to wrap my head around is the lack of fear of God. Especially if we claim to be "men of God." How can a knowledgable man of God ever utter the words "if you don't give him boundaries, he will destroy your marriage"? and not fear the repercussions if they don't repent? Someone pls help me understand.

Finally, someone addressed this concern. Such arrogance, marriage honors God. Trying to justify his adultery it's frightening, this man doesn't fear God. Isaiah5: 20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Once his first covenant wife is alive lovy is living in adultery which is an abomination unto God. There's no success in adultery, this man must repent, be reconciled with his first covenant wife or stay by himself, according to the Word of God. Both Isaac and Hosea had a choice, but in the latter (unique) case, it was to obey God or not to. The Bible doesn't teach as a general principle that God has chosen our spouses, such that we need to find the one that he has chosen*--instead, it places some limits on whom we may marry (must be a Christian, must not have been previously married except under limited circumstances, etc.), and gives us quite a bit of teaching about how we ought to treat our spouses (husbands ought to love their wives as Christ loved the church, wives are to respect their husbands, spouses are to fulfill their conjugal obligations to each other, etc.). Our task then is to choose someone (1) who meets the requirements, (2) whom we believe we'd find it easier to treat as we ought to treat (this is just a matter of prudence--why make it harder on yourself than you need to?), and (3) who agrees to marry us. Within those criteria, you're free to marry whom you wish. *God has determined in his sovereignty whether each of us will marry, and whom (if at all) we will marry--but that's something we'll find out as it happens, not something that we're to seek out in order to follow it.

Before there was a church to minister to. There was the family. The church pertaining to the congregation is made up of families. The church is a reflection of the home. The church is the bride of CHRIST. As HE has done and do for HIS bride. The husband is called to do for his wife. GOD convicted me of this very thing. That I was putting HIS bride before my bride and HE would definitely tell me to go and spend time with my wife and kids. Especially if your wife is supporting you in ministry. You have to make her your priority after GOD. He is confusing your devotion, dedication and communion with GOD with church ministry. They are 2 different functions as a husband.

This Elias and his wife will give marriage advice to people and even marry people in their church. Am waiting for the day when this same Elias gives a reason why remarry is good. No human can give a limit to God. If God is your life or I your marriage, he will hold everything together, for only the house house that God builds can stand.

My heart goes out to Mr. Lovey bevayhebis in error. May the Lord mercifully redeem him out of this rabbit hole of sinfulness. According to the Lord Jesus Christ, REMARRIAGE after a divorce, if the divorced wife or husband is still alive, is ADULTERY, and thus, a sin. ONLY THE DEATH OF THE HUSBAND OR WIFE (DIVORCED OR NOT) ANNULS A MARRIAGE. A DIVORCE or separation DOES NOT ANNUL THE MARRIAGE...so divorced wife or hisband must remain single or be reconciled back together in their marriage....no matter the excuse. because marriage is a COVENANT and NOT a CONTRACT.. So, you sir, Mr. Lovey, are in consecutive polygamy wich is ADULTERY in God's sight because you notbonjy divorced your wife, you are now REMARRIED to another woman, while your covenant marriage wife, is still living....and you cannot wish her dead or kill her which will be murder in both cases. And if your divoced wife is with another man, she too is in active ADULTERY. Ppkease go back to the Bible and read ALL the LORD JESUS CHRIST said about MARRIAGE, REMARRIAGE, ADULTERY in all the Gospels, and ask yourself how you qualify for remarriage when even the ONLY exception he gave for divorce (which applies ONLY to Jews usually, in betrothal, DENIES the woman & the man involved REMARRIAGE, by declaring that anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery & in another Gospel Jesus said if thevman remarries another woman after divorcing his wife, he committs adultery. So there is no grounds for remarriage for any one. And when divorce is permitted in case of fornication, not just general sexual immorality as some translation put it, it is applicable in betrothal, often practused by Jews, before marriage (NOT applicable to married people). This can be aporeciated in the relationship between Joseph and Mary. Joseph, tried to apply the divorce to Mary when she was found with child, (tgey were not yet married but betrothed...but God, by the HOLY SPIRIT in dream intervened ...Joseph then went on to formally marry Mary, and had no carnal knowledge of her untill after Jesus Christ was born). This was thebonky exception Jesus gave, and you do not even qualify here. And even in this case, the woman is not free to marry another man, neither is the man free to marry another woman. So, no grounds for remarriage even in betrothal. REPENTANCE is thevway forward for you sir, and thst means yiunmust come out if tgat remarriage asap....better than being thrown into HELL FIRE, because of the SIN OF ADULTERY, which is your current state . What will it profit you sir to enjoy the sinful pleasure of sexual immorality (adultery) with another woman & be cast into HELL, losing your soul. Its bad enough that some of your teachings are boarderline heretical, and tgat you groom your hair kine a woman's, when you should apoear distincky different in every way like a man, not feminine....do you feel more comfortable & emboldened to rebel against the teachings & commands of the LORD regarding marriage, adultery & remarriage? I have always heard some pastors say that Ministry comes before their Marriage. This was somewhat puzzling because i believed that Ministry INCLUDED one's Marriage. In fact it is a part of any relationships we have as born again Believers. We, as people who are professing the LORD CHRIST MESSIAH JESUS, just NEED to take RESPONSIBILITY and ACCOUNTABILITY for our own ISSUES/PROBLEMS/FAILINGS (and successes) both in MARRIAGE and any other relationships (1 John 1:9-10). Twisting the Scriptures which is basically LYING ON FATHER ALMIGHTY HOLY LIVING GOD IS NEVER a good thing, NOR is it OF HIS HOLY SPIRIT. My thoughts went to eunuchs as well. I have Turner Syndrom. That leaves me not able to have children. I find this video confirming why I have never married. I sometimes wish I could do more for the folks at church, but thankful to do what I can. I appreciate the freedom I have had to help my emediate family as well. We need to be thankful for the gift we are given whether single or married. We are a team serving together. I never supported the divorce of my parents, but thankful for being single and able to be there to help them put their lives back together. Alot of rejection but alot of knowing God better.

I thought he was going to use this passage as a defense for his stance: “but one who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how he may please his wife, and his interests are divided. The woman who is unmarried, and the virgin, is concerned about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and spirit; but one who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how she may please her husband.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭7‬:‭33‬-‭34‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ This would defend his case way better than the Moses example, but even still… the only way this example would hold up is if he was making a defense to stay celibate and unmarried his whole life. But you can’t use this example if you’re already married (like he was) and/or are burning with passion (like he clearly is based on his remarriage).
