Lovevery The Looker Weeks 0-12 Review (2022 Updated Play Kit)

In this video I review the updated version of the Looker Play Kit by Lovevery.
UPDATE: I just realized after making the video that I completely forgot to calculate the price of an alternative for the mittens! This would make the Lovevery Play Kit even a better value!

We had the gym and didn’t even think about hanging the mobile from it maybe because the string it came with was like 10feet long 🤷🏻‍♀️ it was also made from wood and ended up breaking somehow it became dangerous so we had to toss it. my son maybe wore those mittens once they were crazy tiny! The links look like fun esp for grasping instead having 2 picture holders from our original looker kit. Nice video well done 👏🏼

The string is pretty long! However, I've noticed that long strings seemed to be a trend with the Montessori based mobile as my wife got some Montessori mobiles for my daughter and those strings where just as long. Best guess is that this allows for parents to hang them from higher locations. Yeah my son only wore the original mittens about 2-3 times when he was a newborn, but by 3 months old his hands were too big for the original ones.

Hi Kevin, sorry me again. actually I do have a few questions for you regarding toys and the Lovevery playkits. Quick background - So we are first time parents, my husband and I don't like too much clutter in the house but we know this is inevitable with having a child. But we would like to minimize the number of toys the child owns.. so my questions to you: 1. Do you keep all the toys from all the play kits? from 0-12 months? If you do does your son still play with the 3-4 months kit even when he was 7-8 months? (I'm wondering if make sense to sell some of the playkits when my son age have outgrown the recommended age of each play kit) 2) We are only planning to subscribe just to Lovevery - do you find the toys from the subscription enough? or you still have to buy some other toys for him? (I am planning to do toys and books rotation) Thanks again!

Lovevery changed their referral system a while back so that you need to enter an e-mail address for them to send out the referral link. They did it this way as they wanted to keep the program for actual "friends and family". 1. So far I have kept all the toys for two reasons. First is with toy rotations many of the toys in the younger boxes actually have multi months of usage. I would look less at the recommended age and look more at how your son interacts with toys. For example the water drip drop cups are in the 7-8 month box and my son at 3 year old still uses them regularly during bath time. 2nd reason is that I kept them as I knew I was going to have a 2nd child and now my daughter is playing with them. After she's done though I do plan to sell them off as the collection has gotten a bit out of hand over 3 years. 2. During the younger age at like 0-18 months I would say that the subscription only would be okay, but as they get older the kits don't entertain quite as long. This is especially true for the ages 2 and up play kits.

@@kevin-lu oh okies gotcha, i just thought if there was referral system with benefits - i will wanna use your link as you have been uber helpful with your reviews! And thank you for your answers for my questions, I have a clearer expectations now regarding toys lol. And I salute you and your wife (and any parents who have more than 1 child) parenting and getting things ready for them is tough.. But thanks so much again, gonna continue binge watch your other videos!

In some of your previous videos, I noticed there was no crib/bed in your son's room? What was the decision for this? Is it linked to Montessori? I am really curious about it.

My son currently has a floor bed in our bedroom that he sleeps on, so he doesn’t sleep in his own room. As far as I know this isn’t typical Montessori, but we’re just going to play with by ear and see when he’s ready to move to his own room.

I did introduce it to both my children pretty much since birth. The cards and book are great for newborn.
