This is exactly what I've been looking for! It's simple enough for a beginner to do and it's a lovely detailed pattern that's perfect for borders or just adding detail!

I tried this only using double crochet. My sample looks pretty good. So glad I saw this.

Hint: multiples of 3 for the beginning chain. Not every odd number will work on this. They just need to be divisible by 3.

One thing to watch out for is that you don't add stitches at the end of a row . I always had that problem I would put a stitch where it wasn't suppose to be. Easiest way not to do that is to count your stitches in the rows . Hope that helps you 😁
