The bass is oustanding, the singer in the brown suit and hat and the tall black dressed lady are excellent.

It's the best interpretation of Mack the Knife after I've watched all the versions of that song including the original German one I could found on KZread. If we say Curt Weill is a genius composer, American talents made this song a great art work. Loveless Jam is a team, everyone of this team contributes his/her own part to this song and made it a genuine precious diamond shining in the music world. It reminds me of Allen Poe's detective stories and French noir movies. I'm fascinated and addicted to this modern interpretation. My highest salute to this team and also thank KZread!

I've watched this clip min 25 - 30 times. It's so good - it literally brings tears to my eyes. No bullshit. Lake Street Dive's Rachael Price is astonishing as are her band mates - Bridget Kearney, Mike Olson and Mike Calabrese. Bridgette's bass playing, Mike's trumpet solo and Mike C's often understated (and shoeless) precision are a joy. So thanks for this jam Jim - and to every single musician and singer on stage who brought this marvelous song back to the front. (Can't find the name of the accordion player - wow. Anyone? )

I love country and Loveless jam, but this was great! I spent three years in Germany, (Army,) and can pump out at least one verse of Makie Messer in German. Someone you should get if you ever do this again is Titania Eva-Marie.

Excellent version of Mack the Knife however this song was written and done by Bobby Darin. No credit given to him. Curt Vial (sp) and 3 penny opera ??

Sorry, but it was written by Kurt Weil whose wife was Lotte Lenya better known as Rosa Klebb in From Russia With Love. Darin's version of Mack the Knife is the best known today.
