The reason it was re-uploaded to their channel 9 months ago is because the original video from 5 years ago had outdated advertisements in the middle of it, so it was high time they took them out. They did that with a few other of their old videos, removed the outdated ads and re-uploaded them, so the dates will not be reflective of how old the videos actually are.

This was my first contact with Lovebites many years ago.

LOVE THAT YOU'RE DOING THE LOVEBITES RABBITHOLE!! This MV was re-released 9mos ago to remove the ad / promo that was in the middle of the song, in the original MV. Don't worry about getting 1-2 out of order, not a big deal at all. 🙂 This was my intro to them and haven't looked back; my favorite song by them. Best sounding harmonization, not the longest or fastest but that tone of their guitars in sync is F wonderful! And you nailed it, regardless of the genre...THEIR MUSIC JUST SOUNDS SO GOOD! Miho (former bassist) and Haruna (drummer) were in DESTROSE before, just don't know a song to recommend, sorry! Look forward to the next Lovebites reaction for sure! Think the next MV release was The Crusade in '18, not the next song per se.🤘🐺

My introduction to Lovebites, then the fun began. Watching reactors, who thought they could play a guitar, reacting to Lovebites. More than one admitted that they could not play on this level. But there were some who made a$$e$ of themselves. Also you have to play it again just to listen to Haruna, she is killing it!!

Hi bro, nice video! I would watch "The Awakening/The Hammer of Wrath" (Live in Tokio 2020) because they are the intro and opening song of the first album of 2016, but also because it has an incredible thrash feel. From this same 2020 DVD, I think "Addicted" is amazing and "Thunder Vengeance" which opens the show is mind-blowing. If you want an older, more power metal official video, then "The Cruzade" is it. The truth is that LOVEBITES has more than fifty songs that are true masterpieces, so it's really hard to choose. Cheers!

You must listen to their live verson of this song from to 2021 concert that is the same song but in a completly new dimension. Greatings from Sweden, Wolfpack since 2019.

MIHO (BASS) and HARUNA (DRUMS) original members from DESROSE., MIHO already knew MIYAKO (long dark hair/ GUITAR-KEYS) and MIDORI (GUITAR) were recruited and the 4 of them found ASAMI (VOCALS) as a choice for her english lyrics and R&B unique style to enhance a different approach to metal., as with the dresses and heels etc... Although MIHO has left the band they auditioned FAMI-(LY) (BASS) which is a perfect replacement and the band is kickin even more ass... As others have said, there is not much up on YT from Destrose. The reason is that they recently released a near-complete 3CD+Blu Ray compilation of their best work, so the label is taking down unofficial clips. They never achieved lineup stability, going through an incredible 23 different members in their run of 9 years. This is probably their best-known line-up. The live concert is from 2013. The blonde guitarist with the pirate hat is Minako Nakamura (stage name Mina), founder and bandleader and the only constant member. Former members went on to form many other all-female metal bands. The first big spin-off from Destrose was Mary's Blood, which at various times included six different former Destrose members including most of the final line-up. That lineup (Eye, Rio, Mari and Saki) was stable from 2012 until early 2022, when they disbanded. Your assessment about Lovebites being a possible gateway into metal is 100% true. That can be said for most of the all-female metal/rock scene in Japan. Groups like Baby Metal and Band Maid are making metal more accessible to a wider audience. This is good for all metal bands, and this is why they have been so accepted by so many great metal performers.

Now that you’ve seen them in music videos, the question that most naysayers come up with is “well, can they do that live?” To that I say that you should have a look at their entire show called Five of a Kind, at Zepp DiverCity, in Tokyo. That show is phenomenal. I’d say to start with their first track, Thunder Vengeance, followed by Holy War, then even go heavier with Break the Wall, and the opening of their encore, The Awakening/Hammer of Wrath. You will not be disappointed.

They tend to mix both power and thrash together in some songs, others are just purely one or the other!! The drummer Haruna and ex-bassist Miho (founder) were in Destrose before. Miho wanted to make a metal band different from the usual Japanese metal, she called Haruna to join her and they formed Lovebites!! 🤘🐺🤘

Destrose was the band that Miho/bass and Haruna/drums were in. Maze or Headless Goddess is a great song to show off both of them Destrose spawned many great bands and had some great musicians okay in the group over the years. BTW great reaction check it out LIVE from the 2021 concert.

I assume the re upload 9 months ago was because they put the original video up rather than the one they used to have up that had a commercial interruption advertising their album back in 2017 it had to be updated.

it´s normal, that you were confused. there are two versions of the shadowmaler video. the first one came out in september 2017 and had an integrated short ad for album and tour. later they loaded up the version without the ad. that video (with the ad) was my first contact with them. perhaps you can imagine, that it took a while to bring these visuals together with this killer music, the speed, stamina and beautiful solos in my head. first I couldn´t believe what I saw and heard.

I'm not worried about genre labels. There's just good music and bad music. And everything these ladies do is in the first category.

This is how great they were out of the gate. As time has gone on, they have become even better., When you listen to this song, you pretty much think perfection already. I think Lovebites continues to redefine perfection.

First contact track right here, but it was the Bloodstock live version with the unoptimized mics and mix issues. Even with that the talent was obvious. Delved deeper and realized I had just discovered my new favorite band. 🤘🐺🤘

Really enjoying your Journey. I don't have any problem with your retrospective of the various MVs. But, as you progress past them you will see that they are Best heard Live. They can do this, just as good, just as clean, LIVE - and because it's Live it creates an underlying Energy that can't be described, only 'felt'.

Nice reaction Rooster. This is the song that introduced me to the band. Destrose is the band Miho and Haruna were in before joining Lovebites. They don't have anything official on YT anymore. drummer haruna and bassist miho were in the band DESTROSE. one of the earlier girl's metal bands and they had about 23 members that came and went during their 10 year run with many going on to form other bands. I saw a video several months ago that listed a total of 20 bands that had Destrose members. You can certainly hear the Destrose sound in some Lovebites songs.

The Lovebites lady's don't require pathetic, tired and over used guitar faces. Leave that to the four chord wonder male rock bands who are dinosaurs left over from the 1970's. Even some of the college girl metal/rock bands from Japan can write better composed songs, perform on stage without copious quantities of drugs and have a greater level of musicianship than many of the western established bands in my view. It will be surprising if there is not one Lovebites song you will dislike.

You can recognize assholes when they only focus on Miyako and Dean guitars.
