Lovebites Reaction | A Frozen Serenade (Live in Tokyo)
In this reaction video I react to Lovebites performing one of their slower numbers, A Frozen Serenade live in Tokyo 2021. Despite the pace being slower than what I’m used to, Lovebites continues to impress and show why they deserve any and all accolades and praise heaped upon them!

In my view they have no equals, male or female. They own the genre outright. Lovebites play “Holy War”. A male band could play “Holy War”. NO male band is ever going to produce a piece as beautiful as this. It’s not a song, it’s a production. Being female is not a handicap, it’s their secret weapon.

Excellent review. This is an epic up there with " SWAN SONG live w/ Chopin intro" by Miyako . These girls are the Queens of Metal. and have actually raised the bar for male bands to compete with. They are an astounding band on every level.

In Japan women groups include Lovebites,Nemophila,Band Maid,Hanabie,Fates Gear,Trident,Bridear,Show-Ya,Hades,Mary's Blood,Aldious, and Gacharic Spin there is no shortage of all female metal that betters anything we have in the USA

A FROZEN SERENADE / Dissonance / EPILOGUE / Judgment Day / Nameless Warrior / Stand And Deliver (Shoot 'em Down) / PARANOIA / We Are The Resurrection / WINDS OF TRANSYLVANIA What these LOVEBITES songs have in common is that they are composed by Asami. (Mostly in collaboration with Mao, an external collaborator) Most of them are songs released after 2021. (There are also exceptions like EPILOGUE). When LOVEBITES started, R&B-born Asami struggled to keep up with the band's speed. A music insider who knew me at the time said: "Asami couldn't keep up with the high-speed performance, and once sang by jumping the words of the lyrics live." Now Asami has mastered the ability to fully control the metal instrument of the voice. It seems like she started her run with the band in tow. ---------- from Nippon *It is a sentence using Google translation. I hope I conveyed my intentions correctly.

You can never fail with the "E" songs of Lovebites if you truly love this style of songs (Edge of the World, Empty Daydreams, and Epilogue) and to add more I would go with Swan song and Liar

How many true masterpieces are there in the history of rock? A dozen? Maybe twenty? I’m not talking about merely great songs. Out of a million rock songs, there may be a few hundred great ones. A masterpiece is something much more. It combines beautiful composition with brilliant execution. It tells a story, taking you through a range of emotions until it overwhelms you. For classical music fans, the iconic example is Beethoven’s 9th symphony. For something shorter and more comparable to a rock song, think of Ravel’s “Bolero”. I would name “A Day in the Life” by the Beatles; “The End” by the Doors; “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen; “Kashmir” by Led Zeppelin; “Layla” by Derek and the Dominoes; the first side of “Dark Side of the Moon” by Pink Floyd; “Starless” by King Crimson; “Ghost Love Score” by Nightwish… and maybe a few more. Few rock groups have ever produced a masterpiece-- some of the greatest never managed it. Lovebites, in five short years, have given us several. For me this rivals “Swan Song” as their greatest--so far!

Thanks for more LOVEBITES! This song is so uniquely beautiful & powerful. A "Masterpiece" imo. However, I'm gonna be the 'nitpicking fan' to ask you to start their songs from the beginning, not 9 seconds into the performance. You skipped the way LOVEBITES chose to start this amazing song in a live performance. Why? I just find it off-putting and disrespectful for a 'reactor' to not give proper attention-to-detail as LOVEBITES obviously does in all their 'works' and presentations. I do appreciate that you include the 'link to original' which I used to verify how much you skipped ahead. For the "ballad" that remains ballad-tempo throughout, mentioned by several others, "Epilogue" LIVE 2019: kzread.info/dash/bejne/fH11rLt7pdixd7A.html 🐺

If you check the link I provided you'll see I didn't skip anything. The video started with a picture of them which was all I really skipped. If there was something that came before where I started it's because it wasn't included in the video I was reacting to.

Fully agreed. I guess I tend to bring up the gender a lot because too many times I see females that go into something that's generally male-dominated and can be just as talented, if not more so in some cases, as their male counterparts yet never receive the respect they deserve. Heck, I see it on KZread/Twitch all the time.

This is a terrible take on them. They deserve respect because they're as good as men in metal. ARE YOU JOKING. THAT'S 1 OF THE WORSE THINGS I'VE HEARD EVER. BECAUSE THEY ARE FAR SUPERIOR TO 99.99% OF MALE METAL BANDS. LOVEBITES ARE I.M.H.O INCREDIBLE. So Good. Unexpected yes but better and you do a disservice to them underestimating their skill.
