Quite attractive to say the least, an interesting character from what I can tell apart from these MVs/performances, disciplined to the tips of her hair and at the same time she has a little nerdy side. A shredder not only on the guitar (which she only taught herself in her late teens), but also on the piano and a few other instruments... In LB's MV to 'Stand And Deliver (Shoot 'em Down)' you can also see her briefly sitting at the drums for reasons, which you can't hear at that moment, but you can see that she can handle it as well... Glad you checked this out. Miyako is the Black Swan. There's never been anyone in rock like her. We are lucky to witness it. As others have already commented, this is actually an old metal classic from Helloween. It serves as proof that metal and classical are just two sides of the same coin. You should order the CD "Etude Opus 23"--it is glorious.

Miyako is a generational talent who is a virtuoso on BOTH the guitar and piano. She has been classically trained on the piano since the age of 3. "Eagle Fly Free" is a song by German power metal band Helloween. This piano piece is Miyako's interpretation and reimagination of that track. She released her debut piano EP "Étude Op.23" last year which contains piano covers of 6 famous rock/metal songs (including "Eagle Fly Free"). Miyako mentioned that she wanted her EP to showcase how closely related metal is to classical music. BTW, Lovebites (the band) also did a cover of "Eagle Fly Free" which you can check out.

It's a cover of 80s power metal band Helloween, it's a heavy metal song. You should watch the original, then the Lovebites cover version which is also terrific - to really appreciate what Miyako's done here. Miyako is the greatest musician I've seen in my lifetime (that's my opinion). The word talented doesn't even begin to describe this woman. She can do it all, and it's ALWAYS with class. Great selection for a reaction! 🤘 To experience the entire band doing classical: Swan song with Chopin intro live 2020. The Chopin intro is a classical piano piece.

Miyako shreds on both guitar and piano, and is a professional who focuses on her work on stage. She doesn't smile to please the fans, but instead delivers the best metal sound that will have your fans melting.

I'm 72 years old and I've seen various bands on stage like Metallica, Black Sabbath, The Beatles, Cream, LedZeppelin, Thin Lizzy, Supertramp, Motley Crue, Foo Fighters and many others but I'm not going mention them all. And I can say I didn't see many smiles to say the least. If you want to see smiles on all sides react to another Japanese female group: Nemophila. I consider them the best group after Lovebites. And for me, who is an unconditional admirer of Lovebites, it’s a compliment!

Golden touch musical genius ! You're not wrong.. it's a classical composition of a metal song

Miyako is clasically training in piano since 3 yo. so she is who always include some clasical music phrases in some of LOVEBITES songs and also some piano/keyboards parts. MIYAKO is the only one in the current band that doesn't smile, although she does in some songs like "We the United" or when ASAMI stands close to her singing in some live performances. MIDORI (blond guitarrist), FAMI (bassist), HARUNA (drummer) and ASAMI (vocalist) are always smiling. MIHO (ex-bassist: 2016-2021) also never smiled but she did a lot of head-banging.

This video is from a collection released by Miyako of some rock/metal songs transposed for Piano by her. Other songs include Deep Purple's Burn and The Loner by Gary Moore. The whole collection can be found on YT at 'miyako - Topic' as Etude Op.23. She trained as a classical pianist from age 3, only taking up Guitar in her late teens. I think all members of the band can play piano, music education seems to be a common thing in Japan from what I understand. Classical music references are to be found throughout Lovebites music. An obvious example is the Chopin introduction played by Miyako to the song Swan Song, which itself includes reference to classical themes from Dvorak and Chopin.

The band did a cover of the song that is awesome if you care to experience it. This is amazing but the entire LP of the metal songs redone as classical piano pieces is just an unbelievable experience. I truly hope she does another one soon. Imagine how genius your brain must be when being a mother, lead guitar of Lovebites, classical pianist, a gear nerd, a Star Wars fanatic and self taught guitarist and still needs to do a piano LP.....she will inspire or completely intimidate!!!!!!

This is a song that originally was done by the power metal band Helloween. Its been covered by Lovebites also. This is just one of Miyako's piano covers on an EP that she released last June 2023. Also on the EP, covers of Metallica Battery, Yngwie Malmsteen Far Beyond the Sun, Gary Moore Rhe Loner, Deep Purple Burn, Lovebites Addicted. Miyako considers herself a pianist first. She began playing piano at age 3. She also plays bass and drums.

Contrary to the fact, Lovebites are music sheet technical musicians, with their strength in Music theory and proficiency in executing time signature dynamics flawlessly that makes it possible to create and perform compositions that we get to listen and be entertained. No music theory and time signature dynamics proficiency, well confirm that is not Lovebites. Primary reason why compositions from Lovebites are complex and usually stays only with Lovebites. Those drum fills that we are in awe from Haruna, well that comes from a walking and breathing metronome. Musicians in keeping time usually are guided by a metronome, but if you need to tune the accuracy of the metronome, then you have to tune the metronome according to Haruna's beat, if you know what i mean...😎😂😂

Miyoko is a pianist before she picks up the guitar at the age of 18. And Midori start at 20 on guitar so their both impressive

As others have said - it's a cover of 80s power metal band Helloween's song of the same name . Such is the genius and musicality of Myako that she has managed to reinterpret and arrange the piece in a variety of classical styles whilst still staying true to the original - you really should listen to the original and you'll understand what everyone is telling you better . As I've said before - the way to view and understand Myako is to think of her as a pianist who plays guitar ( albeit better than almost anyone in the world ) rather than a guitarist who plays piano - or simply as a musical genius ( and I don't use the term lightly ! )

I have hoped for & requested Blu-rays of Miyako's piano recitals. I saw cameras & microphones in the photos from her performances. I had anticipated possibly around her birthday this year, but nothing yet. They will be 'must have' for all Miyako/LOVEBITES fans. She is truly a phenomenal composer, arranger & performer. 🐺 dreg👁

@@dregeye I completely agree with you! 🤝😊 Miyako is a true musical genius! As a composer. And as a musician. I consider Miyako the Mozart of the 21st century! I came to this opinion after listening to the songs 'Dystopia Symphony', 'Swan Song', 'Lost in the Garden', 'Soldier Stands Solitarily'. All Miyako's songs have great melodies and arrangements. But these four songs, in my opinion, are the pinnacle of her composing talent. At two concerts, Miyako performed 20 (10 + 10) piano compositions. As an intro before 'Empty Daydream', Miyako played 'Moments Musicaux' by one of her favorite composers, Sergei Rachmaninov. As an intro before 'Liar', Miyako played 'The Everlasting' . If Blu-ray is released and it includes both concerts in their entirety, then it will be 20 tracks! Approximately 1.40 - 2 hours of music!

This beautiful is such a remarkable talent. It shocks me, she and the rest of Lovebites is not more well known. They do smile a lot, just not Miyako. That's just how she was trained to be growing up learning the piano. At 18 she taught herself the guitar. Since Fami has joined the band, she's loosened up some. Off stage Miyako is smiling and laughing a lot. Watch her youtube channel. You will see that side of her.

They all smile, Midori and Fami light up the arena and Asami and Haruna smile quite often on stage. Miyako was classically trained so she is the stoic one as that genius brain is composing a new song while playing with the band. Her YT channel is full of her smiles and is actually quite funny. Off stage these musicians are always jovial and happy. Midori can light up an entire venue with her smile and that outgoing personality fills the entire space she is in always.

As for the smiling 🤷‍♂ - you must be watching different videos from the rest of us 🤣 . The only one who seldom smiles ON STAGE is perhaps Miyako and she's NOT in the slightest unhappy just very serious about her music . The others never stop smiling !

These ladies certainly bring out the smiles but maybe Miyako doesn’t so much as she’s spent many years on the classical piano .. you won’t see many classical pianist smiling away as they play .. full concentration and using all their incredible skills .. imo

To gain full appreciation for the song you need to listen to the original by Helloween. Only then will see the greatness of her version of the song. Brings real emotion when it goes to the quiet part for me personally.
