Only together for 4 years and they have about 50 songs, all excellent and encompassing a wide variety of METAL, along with a couple power-ballads and a few HARD-Rock songs. All have a guitar solo by each with all but a few having a harmony-duet that follows. Miyako (guitarist on the right with black hair) writes more of the Power-Metal songs while vocalist Asami writes the majority of the lyrics, consistently bringing attention to our struggles as individuals and as a specie, but only to encourage us to self-empowerment, initiative, and self-worth. I really, really liked this piece. They are a terrific group and live they're pretty incredible. If you're interested in female bands you might consider listening to Band MaId somewhere down the road. A different style of music from Love Bites. I hope I'm not trolled for suggesting them but I mentioned them on another LB reaction and somebody came after me like I'd committed an unpardonable sin,. All the super Love Bites fans, i swear I'm not disrespecting Love Bites.

They were formed to bring a more European sound to J/Metal and the glory of the 80's was raised to a whole new level and then some with songs sang in English. They do Power, Speed, Thrash, Ballads and classic piano (yes classic as in the masters thanks to Miyako). These women are so insanely talented that it is unfair to have this much talent in one band. They play flawlessly LIVE and you have to experience them LIVE to really see what this band is all about: Along those lines try these great songs LIVE: Scream for Me (kzread.info/dash/bejne/a4Oblsmvg7jTc9I.html) the M & M show on guitars in all its glory!!! Empty Daydream (kzread.info/dash/bejne/noycwdeGfZyamrg.html) Miyako's classical piano intro followed by Asami's bluesy R & B vocals before the power surge, a ballad done Lovebites style. These women are petite (4' 9" - 5' 2") and look like models going to a fashion show BUT when they put on white dresses and high heels (so that they can be seen on stage) no one stands taller or plays better LIVE than this band. Best all female metal band and in Japan that is saying a lot (Mary's Blood, Show-Ya, Aldious, Nemophila, Fate Gear, etc.....)

They where not formed to bring more european sound to japanese metal, there is a ton of it already, they are a female version of Galneryus, their song compositions are basicailly identical.

If North America and Europe didn't focus on certain types of music and commercialized bands, these ladies would top the charts everywhere. Another Welcome ... welcome to Japanese all female bands. There are dozens of them, all super talented. Japan has more all female bands then the entire planet combined, and more. Band-Maid, Nemophila, Scandal, Babymetal, Aldious, Mary's Blood, TRiDENT, Passcode, Accént, Gacharic Spin, Doll$box, Bridear are just the few currently active with new material or live streams. Then you have the amazing mixed band Asterism, Unlucky Morpheus and Wagakki Band. And that just scratches the surface with the more prominent bands. Edge of the World, Epilogue, Thunder Vengeance, Holy War, Winds of Transylvania, Under the Red Sky, MV's When Destinies Align, Shadowmaker, Rising, these are all must listen, with at least a dozen more. Welcome to the world of Lovebites, you have just scratched the surface of something extremely amazing, these beautiful ladies are the real deal and can do it all. They aren't just a power metal band but are very diversified and versatile in many styles and genres of rock/metal. From hard rock, thrash, grunge, prog, heavy, and power metal to beautiful power ballads and amazing love ballads as well as Miyako piano works so phenomenally and epic. There is no other band this amazing with this much talent, there are other bands out there that are good but these ladies have taken things to a higher level and their talent to a very different caliber. For rock the all female Band Maid is just as talented and Freedom LIVE (kzread.info/dash/bejne/eHyk16eqfaTJdMo.html) is a great example. 70% of the musicians in the best Music schools and Academies in Japan are women and the all female bands have been around since Show-Ya torn the doors off the boys club in the late 1980's (they are still going today BTW). Some great bands with exceptional musicians as the competition in Japan is intense to say the least!!! Asami came from a R & B, Jazz and Soul background vocally before joining Lovebites thus that totally different sound from the band as well as the positive messages often found in their songs!!!

Miyako also plays Piano.

And she says we now have a female rock heavy metal band. Should we tell her about the 10 to 15 other bands over in Japan all female that are better than just about every other band out there? Lovebites Band-Maid Aldious Mary's Blood Nemophila Doll$boxx Bridear These won't get you started there's a couple other bands that are mixed female and male that are exceptionally good. Unlucky Morpheus Wagakki Band And then there is BABYMETAL. The front group is 3 young girls with high end musicians backing them up. Start with Headbanger live legend of 1997 concert. Being an old guy I have no idea how to link songs so just Google the band name and try the first thing that comes. up. Subscribing.
