fun facts: "fanny" was actually their housekeeper who cleaned up the studio when they were recording. maurice saw her and thought it would be a good idea to put a lady's name in the hook, and they picked her. fanny reportedly cried when she heard the song.

I raise both hands way up in praise of the Bee Gees. Three brothers are singing with the angels-- no doubt about that. Barry is still with us at 76, looking healthy as recently as 9-10 days ago in his video in honor of Olivia Newton-John's memorial event. I think what's important to know the Bee gees were not a disco group they just had the biggest disco album of all time. You have to hear the Bee gees from the 60s to about the early mid-70s before they did their huge disco album. They were blue-eyed soul for the most part in addition to beautiful ballads.

Even though they are all famous for their falsetto voices, they all could sing in the lower ranges. Barry, the oldest, is on the right. Robin and Maurice are younger and are twins. Their younger brother, Andy Gibb, had some huge hits by himself and along with his brothers. Sadly, he passed away many years ago. Checkout Andy Gibb doing “Don’t Throw It All Away “ , “Shadow Dancing”, or “I Just Want To Be Your Everything”. 👍
