Absolutely brilliant advice. I learned this lesson via my divorce in 2011/12, and I can honestly say that if you're going through this - LEARN from it. You've hit so many nails on the head mate. I'm sorry that you had to go through this to learn these lessons, but it seems to be one of the only ways we can. Good on you for getting help, for being mature enough to develop yourself, and for talking about this all to us. Thanks for sharing, and take care mate.

I agree too many people don't get help. It's the most amazing thing you can do for yourself. I wish more people would do it. We have only one life. Gotta deal with shit in order to live your best life!!

+Veronica Brown yes and no lol I still feel like seeing someone open up and be a little more real is awesome. However, with the current situation, it's a little difficult to see what's real and what's not. Obviously youtubers create personas and only show us what they want. This could have very well been another persona. I don't know. I've watched probably every video in regards to what's going on right now, and things aren't really looking good on his end. If it's all true, which to an extent I think some parts of it may be, then obviously some help needs to be sought out. If it's not true, then this is a really tough situation for anyone to be a part of. With that said, I don't know him personally. I don't know any of the girls personally. I know anyone is capable of anything. So I don't know. I have nothing valid or bad to say about either party. I hope things work out for whoever is on the right end of the spectrum.

+Veronica Brown also, rewatching this video, he makes some valid points. When I match things he says up with what these other girls have said, it sort of fits with it. He said things along the lines of "I didn't fix what I needed to." "I didn't give my attention." "You've gotta listen to what the other person wants." If him cheating and being crappy is true(aside from the whole rape thing), he seems to at least have acknowledged that HE was in the wrong. That HE needed to seek help and grow up and be a better partner. I'm definitely not defending or condoning his alleged actions. I just noticed, that in a new context given the situation, he's acknowledging something isn't right with how he's been in relationships. I mean, I don't know the timeframe of his relationships, so I don't know who he was with before this video, or whether he was with other girls after. I don't really care to know. And again, I can't give a valid opinion on any of this because I don't know anyone involved.

+Veronica Brown maybe this was genuinely a time where he saw he was wrong and was going to try a little to go in and confront his own problems. Maybe it was all just talk and a show. Who really knows other than the people involved? The way I understand this video is that he knew he wasn't doing right. Since I don't know what dating him is like, that could mean anything. But matched with at least some of the crappy boyfriend allegations, this does sound like it fits a bit. I can only say I'm leaning towards the fact that he's probably not at the point in his life where relationships are the right step for him right now because even he thinks he needs to mature more. Just based off of everything I've put together. That's the only kind of opinion I really have. So, may justice be found for whichever side is right.

Absolutely, I totally get what you mean. Never watched toby before, wasn't my "style" I guess.. Obviously I feel absolutely awful about these girls coming forward, but also looking at it from an outside perspective it seems like Toby has some incredibly deep personal issues that none of us know about. I hope this public hatred doesn't push him into a worse state of mind he already is in.. he obviously needs help

Thank you for that compliment. That is one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me. I sometimes think I should have gone into that field. I went the IT route instead and I don't have any degree from a college. I am not to sure I could deal with the stuff that therapists help people deal with day to day. Takes a very special human to be able to mentally deal with the stuff they hear.

I have always thought, if there ever comes a time where I am not developing or getting better at something in my life, job or self than there is a change that needs to happen. I also never wanna be the smartest person in a room. ;)

A lot of people who cheat are very insecure people and I don't know if she actually abused anyone but if he did, I hope his therapy helps him to become a better person than that so whoever he is with in the future doesn't have to experience the same horrible behaviour. I hope his therapy helps him, for his sake and whoever he is with in the future.

I think Toby needs some major help and it seems like he knows he does in these videos . I definitely believe the drug and emotional abuse allegations just from what people have known him have said but the rape allegation idk I think it could and could not be true .

+Turin Turambar wow now that you point that out, i can definitely see how he could have it. as someone who has it as well, I can recognize the more obvious symptoms he has, but i guess we can't rly know the more personal issues related to it (like the chronic feelings of emptiness, etc). we can never know for sure until he says anything about a diagnosis

I like when Toby is honest about his real life and expresses his feelings, it's totally relatable and he gives good advice.

It's really nice to see this side of you Toby. It really sucks watching you feel so crappy, I'm sure it's worse living it. Like you said you've learned and found something to work on to make yourself happy and better. It takes time, but it's leading you to something even greater.

For me it's almost too easy to identify & recognise my shortcomings, but fixing them... that's a whole different thing. I'm aware of my flaws and what I'm doing wrong, but I almost never follow through on actually making a solid effort to change and maintaining that change. That's the most important thing, to not just talk, but to act. And it's hard.
