About our guest:
Riyas Salim is a Social Media Influencer who got very popular after Big Boss (Malayalam) Season 4. He is a supporter of LGBTQIA+ community and a Feminist. He is also a KZreadr and uses this platform to speak up for the rights of women and LGBTQIA+ communities. He is an Engineer by profession, a content creator and a popular figure on Instagram.
This conversation is a two-part series where in the first part Riyas explains what non-binary is and why all of us as a community should fights for the rights of women and non-binary people. He talks about gender pronouns, sexuaity and sexual preferences and why is it important to state the pronoun for each and everyone. Why is it necessary to be inclusive and talk about all sections of the society in terms of gender.
The second part of the conversation delves into his life journey and describes the relation he shares with his family and friends. Riyas reveals his sensitive side as he speaks about the challenges he has to deal with when he decided to live his life on his own terms. The mental health issues, the cyber-attacks and bullying, the social isolation and pressures from all around...just to live life the way he wanted to live it.
On the occasion of women`s day, this conversation is relevant as it talks about how misogyny exists in the society, why is it so important to talk about Feminism, being a Feminist and women`s rights. It is impossible to talk about equality, women empowerment and women`s rights without factoring in the rights of every single person who exists in our society especially the LGBTQIA+ community.

Very true 💯 Masculinity is always considered as a strength while femininity is portrayed as a weakness. Even women who are feminine in expression are considered weak. Be it masculine, feminine or any other form of gender expression, it is not what determines your strength. So happy to see such issues are finally being spoken about. The toxic Robin can throw money and get interview calls from small time gossip monger channels. To get an actual interview, he is not capable, the man lacks intellect. Once i thought he is a very genuine guy...but later he is making issues, teasing people especially girls, un necessarly interfearing in peoples personal life... So disappointed..

Imagine if a normal ordinary person like you or me would like to enlighten ppl on topics whatever he has discussed here... upload a video on KZread channel ...I don't think the views wil even go beyond 1000....But Riyas as he became famous is using the platforms to give awareness to ppl about so many things..There are a lot of ppl who are suffering because of non acceptance from the society....He is showing light to all those ppl out there .... He has knowledge nd atleast by teaching or by talking as you have said, let him enlighten ppl
