They're my new favorite Disney Couple.

I've seen many versions of Robin Hood, but this one had to be the best of them all. It had everything: good humor, good story, good characters, one of the best romance stories of any film Disney ever did (although it is debatable), and a good time for everyone of all ages.

I just have to say Marian's doe eyed expression at 1:07 when she's looking at Robin is so many levels of cute and heartwarming that i can't even begin to describe, you can clearly tell right there just how deep her undying love is for him. That always gets me right in the feels when this part of the movie comes on because it's so beautifully played and even more so after the last part at the archery tournament where all she could do then was tearfully plead for Prince John to spare Robin from being executed. This whole sequence in of itself just screams that they truly and eternally love each other to the last, and i can't begin to express enough just how joyful it makes me feel on the inside. Then there's also the parts when it shows Robin looking back at Marian at 1:08 and the close up shot of her eyes at 1:11, it's all just such a sweet moment because the very much real human feelings they're displaying here are captured so beautifully. Never has two anthro animal characters lovingly embracing each other in a picturesque place been done with more heartfelt and realistic emotion.

@Joshua McDowell Indeed, that bit and this whole scene and the song in general is so beautiful. Gets me right in the feels every time and for a Disney animated film that isn't one of the more highly regarded out of the canon this is such an "awwww" bit all around. Even if other some of the film's other parts don't quite work as well, this part is such levels of pure sweetness that i can't begin to describe.

1:07 That's probably my favorite part of the whole movie. Robin and Marian don't say or do anything they just quietly look into each other's eyes and you can just feel their affection for one another.

When I was little, I used to watch this movie on repeat. During this scene I would dance around the room with my stuffed animal bunny. I always imagined that I was at my wedding, dancing to this song with my new husband. I would be wearing a dress that looked similar to Maid Marian's, and the wedding was held in an actual forest. I look back on this memory today, and think about how much I actually want it to happen in real life. 😂

I am here because of the revival of this song in an Amazon ad. It was bugging the crap outta me trying to figure out where I'd heard the song before. Then I remembered "PING! Turn the page now." I had this record book as a child. I even remember there was a skip when the little guy asks Maid Marian "Are you gonna marry Robin Hood?". Beautiful song, wonderful telling of this story.

Robin and Marion are the most perfect couple and one of my favorites in Disney. They have this never-ceasing passion and devotion for one another and a very pure curiosity and taste for life. They’re what we call “couple goals”.

i swear out of my 33 years of my entire life if there was ever a movie that could pull my heartstrings easily and can almost make me cry its this one right here. i took a long 20+year break and today i recently rewatched this, nearly cried on so many scenes i love this movie sooo much its a gem and hits you right in the heart... as they says love goes on... and on...

This was the first movie I remember seeing way back in 1973, with the my parents at the Hamden Cinemas. The characters are just so warm and charming. Everyone always says their favorite Disney movie is Aladdin or The Lion King, but mine has to be Robin Hood!

This song is simply so beautiful. I loved it as a child, but now in under two minutes it reduces to me to tears, thinking of my gorgeous ex boyfriend and how much I love him still, and that no matter what, my love for him will go on and on.

Oh I feel you. I once had a gorgeous and sweet English ginger boyfriend that loved romantic walks in nature at dusk, stopping to smell the flowers and admiring the river. We watched Robin Hood together once and this scene will always remind me of him :( we had such a movie-like relationship for some time.

Watched this movie religiously as a kid back in the 90’s. Looking back, we were SO lucky to grow up on films such as this. This scene in particular proves that beyond all doubt. Without a line of dialogue, artwork, moving frame by frame, perfectly captures the love 2 characters have for each other in a way that most live action films could only dream to evoke. Old school Disney will NEVER be topped.

Anyone notice how it's nighttime when they go behind the waterfall and daytime when they leave? ;)

well, when I heard the song first time, it sounded much like she said "grown inside of me" which is more romantic saying in a sense since they already decided to get married. but it is funny I noticed there is a hard cut into one scene from the other, as if they deliberately cut the scene to show there is a missing scene in the middle, but is so fast and merged in the motion you cant tell, I acutually watched this today and didn't realised it was daytime in the next scene. but being in that moment or in the honey moon no much difference but I suscpect they could not wait isnt it

The Amazon Super Bowl commercial about the dog brought me here, I saw this movie as a kid but completely forgot about this amazing song.

This is in my opinion the best love song period. I can't get enough of it and I'm 43.

One of my favorite Disney movies as a kid in the 90s. If you want a random fact that’ll make you smile, watch Fantastic Mr Fox (right when Christopherson comes into their lives) and hear this song being played on the mother’s radio while she’s painting her landscapes. That little addition to a movie also about foxes brought me a lot of joy rewatching FMF last night. 🙌🏼

My son was born in 2019 and these were one of the Disney songs I'd play for him when I'd put him to sleep. He's 3 now and when this song came on the super bowl commercial I was like OH!!! My song!! And realized how quickly time has passed 😭 already 3!

In a world of special effects and digital animation, this is an absolutely perfect example of the beauty of Disney’s forgotten days of simplicity.

The one good thing about garbagr media is that it brings wonderful music to attention. Tinktonk and superbowl ads arent just completely useless thank god.

God ... I haven't heard this since I was eight or nine. This movie ... a classic in love and Disney. May they never remake it, because we all need treasures like this.

I really miss those lazy days.....

I'm a rancher, and also the frontman of a metal band who lives in the middle of nowhere. I hadn't seen this movie once since I was, oh, about 6, and I just rewatched it a couple weeks ago and fell absolutely in love with the film. As someone who's never really experienced love, Robin and Marian's love is the most perfect and beautiful love I have ever seen. I'm never, never, sad. And this movie had me in a puddle for a good week. The love scene/song is just perfect. Perfect. It really spoke to me deeply as I live in a vast, open, and empty desert, where I'll just walk, and walk, and walk for miles into the nothing letting my mind wander, and enjoying the utter silence and peace... always alone. And it got me thinking; "Wouldn't it be nice, to share my world with someone? Have someone sit next to me on my little mountain and enjoy company?" But I know that type of love expressed between Robin and Marian is very, very rare. Something only a very lucky few in this world will ever experience. Will I ever get that chance? Only time will tell. For now I'll remain in my secluded little world, far, far away from everything...

This song speaks to me more as an adult than it did when I was a child, when I was a child I just thought of this being a beautiful song but as an adult it speaks to me more because it does seem like yesterday I was a child and I did once watch the world go by.
