Love, dating and privacy in India | Unreported World

Falling in love in India is changing, with the explosion of online dating and relationship apps replacing the traditional routes of matchmaking. As a result, Delhi has seen a huge rise of private investigators tasked with exposing the love cheats and checking out a fiancé’s suitability. Privacy laws in India can’t keep up with this developing area and some detective agencies are getting away with using questionable tactics in their active cases to discover the truth.

In other words : Akriti is separated, and has an agency to separate other couples for money. I think every person deserves a second chance. We are all not perfect, and men have a huge sex drive, its not a joke. Everyone knows it. I think we should be a bit more open about our sexuality, then there would be less divorces and people would learn to cope with these small issues. Monogamy is a hoax and a controlled phenomenon due to conservative views. If my wife cheated on me, I would talk to her why she did it. And if I could do something about it, like what if I am not making her happy? What if I am not loving her enough? May be that's why she is looking for love somewhere else. I would try to forgive her and mend my ways as well. But if I find out that even when I love her a lot, she is just out there whoring herself out to all the men she sees, then that's where she crosses the line.

@@callmejeffrey4999 1. People don't start having sex the same night as shown in movies. Many people may take months or years to consumate their marriage, after they know the person well enough. And they are not the exeptions. 2. Just because it's an arranged marriage doesn't mean you are marrying "someone you don't even like". Almost all people in Urban India since decades, have been asked their wish and have known their fiancé for months or even years before marriage and courtship is normal now. In rural areas too kids are asked thier opinions before fixing anything. Most parents don't hate their children, as the media would like you to believe.

Honestly, we lie beginning as children. "Did you take a cookie from the cookie jar?" Face covered in crumbs, you still say no. So just confronting someone isn't enough. Don't point fingers unless you have proof, right? Besides, confront them too early and they can change their habits to make it harder to find out. You need to blindside them when they're not aware, that way you have the best possible chance of getting the truth.

Just wanted to put this out there. Idk what idea people have about arranged marriages in other countries, but in India a lot of people actually "choose" to have an arranged marriage You can't outright call is WRONG or an abuse of human rights when people actually choose for themselves to get into an arranged marriage. I'm not saying there are no forced marriages in India at all, although I'm sure forced marriages happen in almost every country (some more than others) and I agree that it is absolutely wrong, but I'm just trying to clarify that "arranged" doesn't necessarily mean "forced". I have a lot of friends and family who had arranged marriages and love marriages and none of them were forced.

My husbands parents had a arranged marriage and he told me they was married for over 50 years and they loved each other so much they adored each other and couldn't live without each other so not all arranged marriages are bad

Dixit Jain you seem somewhat informed, that's a good thing :) GDP per capita is average of all citizens, let them rich or poor. Given that richest 20% have 92% of all the money there is. Average GDP per capita doesn't quite reflect the median income of a middle class family. There is a different way to find out how much an average person earns and its called average salary, it's actually just mean income of all families rather than their average. The income inequality is measured by Gini index and India performs poorly in that area. All countries have some inequalities but it's most prominent in countries like Seychelles, Namibia or even South Africa. In South Africa, gdp per capita is $6100, but like you know 2/3rd of the population lives under poverty. Under $1.90 a day, Anyway economy is a tricky thing, there are a lot of factors that make measuring the real standard of living accurately a huge conundrum. India is a growing country nevertheless and economic growth is usually represented my middle class. Have a great day :)

This is India, almost everything is unregulated and/or unchecked. If you really want to see scary stuff, check out our politicians. But've got a tall statue now and the government seems to think it makes up for stuff.

Lack of privacy laws in India? Really? Here in the UK, the government listens in on people's phone calls, reads their emails and text messages, people are being watched on CCTV everywhere they go. Smartphones listen in on people's private conversations even when switched off, Smart televisions also listen in, as do laptops. There have even been reports of secret cameras being fitted into people's garbage cans, "to ensure people are recycling correctly" (the excuses are mind boggling, as is the fact they actually expect us to believe that), and one week ago it was in the local newspaper that the council are admitting to sniffing through people's garbage cans. People are being "encouraged" - for that read, forced - to report each other. School teachers use psychological tricks to get children to reveal what opinions their parents have. School children and teenagers are also questioned about their sex lives at school. Doctors are being bribed to ask patients about their sex lives, and to use psychological tricks to get that information if patients are unwilling to disclose such private information. Each time we go shopping, records are being kept of everything we buy. Every ten years there is a census where everybody is forced to declare their personal details, income, occupation, savings, who they spent the night with, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnicity etc etc. One is forced to divulge such extremely private information as refusal to do so results in a criminal record, a GBP1,000 fine and possible jail term. And apart from that, private investigators that provide evidence of affairs, follow their subjects etc, exist in the West too. And yes they are very busy! Where are the privacy laws in the West????
