The point of lining a baking pan with foil is so you can pull the whole cake right out of the pan for easier cutting.

The vanilla she used looks to be her own Paula Deen brand..I’m sure you can find online..she often makes her own home brewed vanilla but this wasn’t it I don’t believe.

That Hurricane is due to come through this weekend, so it ruined our apple picking date. Still, I packed up my youngest son and ran up to the Orchard to make sure I got the apples I wanted today. They don't sell Cortlands in our local stores very often. So I get a bunch of them every time this year. They're my favorite. I'm going to have to try this recipe with the Cortlands.

What does she mean "her last apple recipe"? There's always more to learn. Once you give up... it's only downhill from there! She could just do less recipes, instead of putting them out so often. And I hope he son does a lot more videos (maybe a bit healthier versions though). He's like a tall, male version of Paula 😄 He's blessed with her character. I never watched Paula on TV years ago, but I really enjoy these easy-peasy recipe videos.

Thats a nice little hand held mixer, not too loud for one thing. Didn't look to heavy. That's important for gals like me who have carpel tunnel syndrome & weakness as a result in the wrists & hands. Of course Paula can handle big glass pans & bowls with weight on them - so maybe I'm just guessing.
