Its insane that all the Marl universe games are released in English now (Rhapsody games, La Pucelle..etc)

Isnt there a psp japan only version that was never translated? I was hoping they would put it on this collection. Antiphona no Seikahime: Tenshi no Score Op.A PSP

I didnt mean to say version, its a whole brand new game exclusive to the japanese psp.

I loved the first one, really a cute and fun JRPG. For who doesn't have a Switch, Rhapsody: a musical adventure is also available on PC via Steam.

It looks really good! A nice chill game to play after playing heavy JRPGs. I actually purchased the Prinny collection with the 1st one a few days ago. I'll definitely be picking this collection up as well.

The sprite for the guy running in at 3:09 is golden! This looks like so much fun.

Rhapsody is one of my favorite childhood games, I'm so excited 2 and 3 finally got localized!

The Rhapsody games look so charming~ Glad they're finally in the west.

Loved the first game back in the day on PS1. Colorful and charming and makes a great palate cleanser between games since it’s pretty easy and short (8-10 hours). Looking forward to finally being able to play the sequels.

I never played the first game ps1 version, only the nds but I am excited for this

The first game is an absolute charmer (which I am wanting to go back to and finally finish) and I already have my pre-order locked in for the Marl Kingdom Chronicles. I'm super excited for these! I hope the trend of bringing previously unlocalized games westward is something that continues

I'm absolutely excited for this release! I feel in love with the first game; it felt like something I would have been obsessed with as a kid. The one asterisk to my excitement is the fact that the musical numbers aren't dubbed. Which I understand from budgetary constraints but it's tiny bit cursed that whenever I choose to go for the English voiceover I end up feeling a little caved (either the series cuts the dub or there's a decline in quality or too many recasts...^^''). I'm usually very much split 50/50 which audio track I go with and will even change it while in the middle of a game for funsies, being a fan of both Japanese and English voice actors, so it's not a huge dealbreaker 😅😅. The musical numbers were just cute and charming. Also the fact that they didn't package in the first game feels very weird. Don't understand why, especially on platforms without the prinny collection...

Know what you mean with the musical numbers; if I hadn’t seen the trailers for the first ones with English singing, I probably wouldn’t mind, but yeah. The first one has the most “complete” dub from that perspective :3 hope you enjoy the game though! (I’m sure you will ^__^)

I'm interested in Rhapsody: Marl Kingdom Chronicles for Nintendo Swich, I have the Nintendo DS version of the first game (I got it several years ago) and I'm thinking of getting the sequels for Nintendo Swich. I might need to watch/read one or two more reviews before I make a decision but at least it sounds like these new versions of older games don't have a lot of bugs or problems, unlike the three collections of ''Prinny Presents NIS Classics'', with bugs and glitches that have been documented, to the point that the Nintendo Switch version of Makai Kingdom can't be finished if you don't update the game... Yeah, I'm cautious and I don't know if I trust NIS America/NIS when it comes to new versions or ports of old RPGs but maybe they did a great job with Rhapsody: Marl Kingdom Chronicles? I hope so. Because of the fact that these games are on PS5 does it mean that you can play Rhapsody II and III in 4K? That could be cool, mostly because of the nice 2D art.

It really annoys me that the first game is not on PSN for PS5 nor is it coming in digital or physical form. Since I don’t have a Switch I have to try to track down the PS1 physical release if I wanted to play the first game. Very strange that the first game didn’t get rereleased for PlayStation consoles when when the first game was on PS1 back in the day. Why do this NIS? Why?

Yeah, I'm a Playstation guy too. That the first one is missing is a real turn off for me. At least, it's a turn off enough to target other games in my backlog.

Just hoping the games dont have bugs like all 3 prinny collections had. Vol 1 was very buggy vol 2 had game breaking bug and i think 3 had a bug as well. It really screwed over physical owners.

They should have packed in the first game on the PS5 version. How are we supposed to know the full story if we don't have a Switch? Weird decision by NISA. It's just like the crap Square did with NEO TWEWY.

It would be nice if that Prinny Collection with the first one gets a port at the very least. I have both a Switch and PS5 so I’m fine, but yeah, your comment reminds me that not everyone has multiple consoles so it would be nice. Hopefully we see the first one on PS5 somehow :3

100% . A complete story is a must for me also. it's not like the cd can't handle it . It's like playing ryza 2 and 3 and not the 1 They force us to emulate 😅

You sold me. Sounds like old school Disney before it got bad.

If they used the ps1 English voicework and translation for the Rhapsody rerelease it's going to be very lovely and punny ^^
