  • @MorseB

You might consider adding a line of decorative furniture pins on the outside of the frame to hold the leather on the sides a bit tighter against the frame. Looks like you have some loose bits the way it is.

If you filled the hole with coloured epoxy you could call this an epoxy river (pond?) build and score those sweet sweet viewer stats. Or are epoxy river pours passe? BTW how did you design the layout? Did you make a mockup first to get the dimensions right? or was this one huge gamble / excuse to play with a domino?

Since you asked I’ll tell you the story! I watched the announcement video for the Nest Home Drone and in the fake living room there was a chair like this. Not a lot to go off but I measured myself for dimensions and made some modifications. Then i worked out everything else in Fusion.

Probably because of their price tags. Haters cannot stand sticker shock, or so it seems. Me? If you won the Powerball and bought a $2+ Megabuck 10-axis boxcar-size CNC mill and used it for wood, I wood still watch. Because, what's more exciting than watching a multi-million-dollar piece of equipment turn a block of wood into something pretty? Or useful? Or pretty useful?
