Loulou’s Diary. A strong wind today in the changeable Netherlands. Romy and Claire have summer vacation so we still hope for tropical summer weather. We live in an area with a lot of nature, water and horses, cows, sheep. That also means that we have many horseflies this time of year. They are very annoying and stinging. Loulou is not bothered by it, but we are. You regularly saw them fly through the videos. Eveline, I can see little Lou Lou is not keen on the strong winds but she looks so happy on her walk with you. She can really run! We have strong winds and much rain here in UK now, so more like Autumn! Thank you as always, for another lovely video. They make my day! 😍🤗 xx

There is such a beautiful gentle feel to all these videos. We try to enjoy every day with our family, nature, animals, cities and people around us. Also to see the small beautiful things that are often no longer seen because we all have busy lives. These videos are only a small part of our lives and I am happy that the things that make us happy are seen 💛😘.

You are such a lovely, loving, & intelligent woman. Loulou & her friends are amazing. It does lift my spirit watching your marvelous life. Beautiful daughters, a handsome husband. I'm inspired by your way of life. I have a lot of questions for you. How did you learn to take such great care of so many different animals? Even the fish kiss your hand. None of these incredible creatures have any fear of you or Loulou. Your home has light carpet, yet it's always clean. It stay clean even after raising puppies, ducklings & rabbits. What is your secret on keeping your rug & couches spotless? Loulou's food fascinates me. Raw meat, cucumbers & bananas. She looks healthy & her coat is shiny. I live in America. Our animals usually eat dry or canned wet food. I won't call it food because it is so inferior to real meat or vegetables. I also love your fur blankets & pillows. How do I purchase the fur blankets? We have the same wind in the UK, also when lou lou runs her ears flop around everywhere it makes me smile 😀😊🤗

Wind speed was half a pelican with numerous horseflies, but Loulou was even faster!

Yes as another said on here, a "heavenly" environment, a beautiful family, wonderful very much loved animals, and an adorable Loulou. Could u ask for anything more. I think Loulou secretly likes Dad the best. Claire, I don't like those horseflies either.

We've just had a week of gale force freezing winds and rain here in Adelaide where it's winter. So it was intersting seeing your wind there in Zuidland! My cats are fed up with having to stay inside and so am I. Tomorrow will be sunny but still cold. Everyone outside! Hugs to Lulu annd best wishes to all.

I think it's just wonderful running through the long grass. We are having the August winds here in Australia at the moment. My dog Molly will not go outside. The wind scares her. She is too precious! She looks just like my mini Doxie Piper.

Eveline, we have those nasty horseflies here in upstate New York State too. But you can make a horsefly repellent by mixing a pint [473 ml] of white vinegar in a bottle with 2 ounces [59ml] baby oil & a squirt of dish soap. Spray it on skin or clothing. Another one to try is 1 part lavender oil, 2 parts water & 2 parts alcohol. If the flies bother Loulou, all you need is equal parts apple cider vinegar and water - or lemon juice and water. My first and second dogs were dachshunds, age 3 to 20, so I've a real soft spot for them. Loulou is an exceptional example of the best characteristics of this happy breed. Burrowing under pillows and blankets....alert to every movement, sound and smell. I hope you keep up this diary of her life for many years to come...I'll be watching.
