I have had mine for decades and NEVER EVER curled up. It is THE best wallet. It is the way you care for it. Mine has never curled. Go to LV and see it and ask them.

I've been using the same LV wallet for 20 years, and like that it looks beat up, the threads are all coming out. It shows it's lived a life. It's just canvas, enjoy it and then just get another one. It's only $800

I’m so glad I watched this video. I too was thinking that this could be a wallet I would always use, but seeing how it could lift up like that and always having to worry about those parts getting caught on things, isn’t something I want to deal with. Thanks for this video!

You could try putting the wallet in your bag upside down? I would really examine the wallet as soon as you get it for defects and return it ASAP

Don't listen to this. Mine has lasted decades without ANY ISSUES.. BEST wallet ever.

I have the same issue on my Sarah wallet and wished used it more than it’s for special occasions only. I contacted LV and told me to come to the store, unfortunately due to lockdown I can’t return it. Mine is more worse now. And I’m not sure if ican be fixed. It’s almost 3yrs by August. Happy to know that this wallet is indeed defective. Thanks for sharing

I have a 2012 Sarah wallet in vernis and she’s still perfect. I think the canvas is prone to curling. Also, because of the envelope cut, the corners of the flap are more likely to catch on things as opposed to the leather Sarah wallet. I also have the zippy wallet in epi and the zippy coin purse in vernis. I would suggest you buy a leather Louis Vuitton wallet rather than a canvas piece.

I love my Sarah wallet. Been using for a year and no issue.

I’ve heard that as well. I haven’t had to many problems myself with LV but for what we spend there should be no problems ever

They really don't make their items now the way they used to.

I wanted to buy matching louis vuitton wallet for my ALMA but after that video I will stay with my Michael kors 🤭 I have it 3 years now and no problems with it.

I have the verso recto in monogram canvas, it has a slight curl but it doesn't bother me. I purchased it to be used not to baby. I'm planning on getting the emilie wallet next.

I have this wallet. Never used and regret buying it too!! When I bought it I loved the fact that my iPhone 8+ fit inside it, however, I just feel like in this day and age there isn't really a need for so many cardholders or such a large wallet. I much prefer to use my pochette accessories with my key pouch holding all my cash and coins.

Consider a leather version. With the envelope styles like this, the edges always looks lifted in canvas.

For goodness sake just get it repaired for free. Louis Vuitton have a 5 year window. Even if you end up selling it it will be in it's best state, you'll get more and pass on a better purse to the person you sell it to.

I think the Empriente version would have been better or consider the zippy wallet.

Is it somehow the same with the emilie wallet regarding the flap? Do you know someone who owns an emilie wallet and experienced the same issue with the flap?

I bought a Sarah Wallet in May 2019, facing exactly the same issues and got some weird smell.

You can easily solve the curling issue by gently ironing the leather flat with a tshirt over it

It's not leather but canvas. The leather wallets are more expensive and better quality.

Take it to lv they will replace it for free . They have a 1 year warranty

U need the zippy one none of those issues I agree with U that would really bother me too corners lifting noooo I'd hate that, glazing is probably going to be a problem over time on any item

I have the same issue, barely used it.

My wallet is decades old and NEVER turns up. Don't listen to this. This is THE BEST wallet ever. Lasted the test of time. I throw it in my bag and I have NEVER had a problem. Obviously this person has made this curl. BEST WALLET EVER. This person is justifying herself why she is selling it.

I have a emilie wallet never used it ever.Never ever never. I had it in the original dust cover and box. I thought it was my fault. Now after watching this video I know it wasn't my fault for keeping stored. My wallet looks like I used the shit out of it.

I know it’s not good to keep your Louis Vuitton items in the box I’ve heard a few different things that can happen with leaving them in the box. I left a couple of my purses in a box for a couple months and never had any problems. Louis Vuitton though they do have problems with some items. I’ve seen several people complain.

You seriously need to get a life and stop putting a daily used wallet through a microscope. There’s nothing wrong with a wallet used daily for 2 years. It’s ALL normal wear and tear. Unrealistic expectations.
