Okay, officially obsessed with the Kirigami 🤣 I still love my mini pochette and use it daily but I love how you get 3 multi size pouches for the price of one mini pochette. That’s just crazy. I need to get this before LV increases the price.

I am thinking of getting my mom a set before the price increase !

I use all of the kirigami pieces in so many different ways and very often! I can fit an entire first aid kit in the mini one when i use it for travel/ day out- alcohol pads, hydrocortisone creams, burn cream, mini bandage, toilette wipes, Tylenol, sanitizer, chapstick, liquid skin and breath mints. The secret is buying small packaged goods and they really fit in the little pouch. I use the big one to carry my iPad or with an insert to carry a lot of random stuff when I need to carry items for myself and husband. I use the middle pouch for too many uses to describe. I cannot get enough of this set it is hands down the best value ever!

Fun fact, the Kirigami set was my first in store LV purchase years ago (back when it retailed about 660)... I thought it was the best value starter piece: three versatile slgs in one. I still stand by that. If I had to choose between the mini pochette and the kirigami in 2022, I would hands down choose the kirigami.

I use my mini pouchette every day as my wallet. I LOVE that it zips closed and I can hang it on my arm by the chain as I check out at stores. I wish it fit my phone 😢 I’m so on the fence about the kirigami set because I want the pouchette accessiore but can’t bring myself to spend $1,300 on it!

I recently bought the Kirigami because I wanted a card holder that closed for the rare times I had a bit of cash. I figured for a bit extra I’d then get a clutch and a catch all so it was an easy decision. I LOVE IT. I use the large one as a clutch when I’m popping into the shop or brunch, and the small one as a cardholder. The mid one is a catch all in my large handbags. No regrets and with the price of the mini pochette - there’s no way I could justify it. Very happy with my Kirigami and I’m obsessed with the rose ballerine in the large one. 😍

I have the Kirigami set and love it! Have a couple inserts for both the medium and large. I love the versatility they give me and I find that when I use an insert, it helps my items stay in place and not get so jumbled.

I got the Kirigami set from the Spring in the City Collection and I didn’t expect to enjoy these pochettes so much. I kept on telling my husband that if I bought them before the Cosmetic Pouch and Porte Monnaie Jour, I wouldn’t need to get those two pieces anymore. ☺️

Great comparison bi have had mini Pochettes for many years and just got the kiragami pouches. They are a great value!

I sold my mini pouchette and brought the kirigami. I used the small as my cash/card holder and created insert with D ring and attached my car key..medium size is my catch all..and I've created insert for large size and turn it into crossbody. I love it 🥰

Im so happy you made this comparison video because I use my kiragami mini envelope for my cards and I’m so excited I finally bit the bullet and am getting my insert to use my Kiragami as a purse!!! I actually owned the mini pochette accessoire last year but I ultimately sold it ever since and haven’t looked back, I rarely used it and actually sold for almost twice as much when it was hard to get last year!! I sold it for around $650 on poshmark and it’s crazy how this thing is literally doubled in price in a year! Yeah not worth it in my opinion and I’m so so in love with my Kiragami again 🥰🥰🥰

I have the mini pochette in monogram and Damier Ebene. Love them.. one of my fav pieces from LV. I got these when they were $300+ and $400+. I don’t know if I will at $745 though. But if I have to choose between this and the kiragami, paying the same price, I still think I will get the mini pochette.

I ABSOLUTELY think the Kirigami set is a better bang for your buck! It’s so nice that you get all three of those bags for the same price as the mini Pochette. 🙌🏽🙌🏽☺️

I have watched this SEVERAL times and I watched it again this morning, knowing I was going today for an appointment with my CA. I still couldn’t decide so I ended up getting both! But I’m in love with both and they’re both made in France! ❤ Yay! 😂

The Kirigami set is gorgeous (definitely good value too), but I still have a huge soft spot for the Ebene Noir print. Also, I wish Goyard would come out with a similar 3-piece set to the Kirigami b/c I love Goyard’s Y print more than LV’s monogram one.

I have the kirigami set and so far have only used the middle sized pouch as a catch all. I do plan to use the larger as a clutch, and will keep the smaller as a card holder replacement once my other cardholders need replacing. I go back and forth on whether to purchase the mini pochette , I regret not getting one sooner but it’s hard to pay that price. However it is a great piece to have as a catch all, and can also be worn as a mini bag, so I keep that one on my wishlist.

You’re so welcome! I think a lot of people pass over the Kirigami set but given all the price increases, it’s quite a good value compared to some of the other LV items!

I ordered the kiragami set after your review. Also have the pochette that I use everyday. Have not yet used the kiragami set yet but love it.

Try using the smallest pouch as a mini wallet. I’ve been using it nonstop every day!!

I love my kirigami pochette set! I used the medium for the first time recently, to hold two passports for our trip to London. Haven’t used the large cos I’m waiting on the conversion kit, but I’m gonna use it as soon as it comes, with the little one as a card holder! I think it’s really good value compared to other LV items. Can’t see myself getting the mini pochette, would rather put it towards a larger item.

I have the kirigami by the pool set and absolutely love it. I actually use the smaller one everyday, as a wallet, as it can fit my swiss card nicely. But I've never thought of using the size in the middle as a substitute for the mini pochette. Undoubtedly cost benefit. =)

I love my mini pochette and bought it when it was in the $300s range . It's my unicorn piece that I use on and off depending on which bags I carry . . . It definitely was a piece that took me months to track down and get in the print that I wanted . . . .Definitely the kirigami over the mini pochette in regards to functionality and pricing. My last purchase was the kirigami monogram and moved on to other luxury brands . I walked into LV the other day, was greeted and nobody approached me for 30 minutes while others that came in after me were greeted and helped immediately. My last purchase was ordered online and since then I have stayed away from the brand. Thanks for always sharing and giving us alternatives to consider . Love your videos .

Kirigami is multifunctional compare to mini pochette, I had just gotten my mini before the price increase so i feel good about it, but now I want to get the kirigami to use for my neverfull bag or my totes as an organizer.

Team mini pochette here! Couldn’t deal with how easily the inner leather of the kirigami creases and folds (especially if you try to do the insert and chain) - returned it

I use my mini pochette every day but I am now a fan of the Kirigami. Very surprised how much fits in the pouches. Not sure if I would purchase because I am taking a step back from LV due to the prices.

Thanks for the video! Still undecided tho. Can I ask why you haven’t used the large piece as a bag? I have a good collection but not in LV. Most of my collection is Hermes, chanel and YSL since I like leather. But going for a tropical trip and would just prefer to bring canvas pieces. So trying to get a few items before hand. Looking for a chanel WOC vibe in LV or Gucci, but I don’t like any of the WOCs in those fashion houses - other than the Gucci horsebit that you just got but still has leather parts so I worry for the humidity. So I also need a new catch all, hence the Kirigami. Bang for the buck. But why didn’t you use it as a bag? Is it difficult or not actually all that functional? Thanks

Picked up the kirigami set on my trip to paris in june, but still have not used them, maybe on our upcoming trip, takes me a while to start rotating my new pieces 😉

I know what you mean. Sometimes it takes time to rotate new pieces in. I’m happy to report that I’ve been using my smallest size Kirigami pouch every single day since purchasing the set! It’s perfect as a mini wallet. I suggest you try it! 😊

The color is called “makeup” and it has been discontinued. I bought it years ago in Paris and have never seen the same color ever since. 😭

Love this comparison I purchased the mini pochette for under 400 dollars and I wouldn't pay that today. I would much rather get the kiaragmi set. Thinking of getting it before the next price increase.

Hello Hannah. Please help. I’m so upset. I bought the kirigami set like 5 months ago and the glaze is completely peeling on all the pieces. Then I got a key pouch a month ago and the same thing is happening. What do I do?! Should I just let it peel off?? I’m so upset.

What??? Oh no! Take it into LV and show them. That shouldn’t be happening. The glazing on the Pochette Métis bag was peeling and melting for a while so they took those bags back and even did a recall until they fixed the issue. You should definitely show them. I don’t see anything like that happening on my Kirigami set and my key pouch is my most abused SLG and it still looks like new. These pieces should be durable and long-lasting!

I have both…but quality for the mini pochette is better as for the kiragami the corner/lining/rubbing outside peels off..

Price hike hasn’t happened yet in 2024 I think Il buy the set this week because I love the small card case. Thanks for sharing. Lv holds its value. You can use and love it and resell get most of your money back. Great review 👍

I love my MP, but I would definitely not buy it at the current price! The Kirigami is definitely the better deal and has not been affected by any of the price increases. I've just never been able to pull the trigger on it because I also wouldn't know what to do with the largest pouch!

While the Kirigami wins the value for money contest I doubt that I would use the 3 items, I think the value rests with the pieces you use daily, I have a mini pochette and love it (price now is absurd I know, if I didn't own it I'd still buy it). I wouldn't use the small or medium Kirigami every day and definitely not the large, it's nice but for me it's a tempting piece just because it's convenient in terms of price per item rather than really having a place and use in my collection.

As much as I would like to have a mini Pochette🥺. I was thinking of purchasing a new LV passport holder, due to gifting my husband mine, and the Kirigami set will be perfect for my passport and my daughter, especially while here in Japan. In yen both of these converted to US dollars is $634.24 based on the yen today. The yen rate can either rise or fall depending. I will be purchasing soon a Kirigami set, not sure which one yet.

I'd still pick the MPA any day despite the price! The kirigami's edges will curl up with time and look ugly after a few years. Take a look at preloved LV wallets and you will know what I mean...

It is not at all about the craftsmanship of why the mini pochette is the same price. It’s because their prices increase every year and the mini pochette is such a highly coveted item and they do this to drive up even more demand and sales. Great review! 🌺

I just got the kirigami set (my first LV purchase) and was so disappointed 🙁. I had to return because the large pouch was defective. One side was longer than the other and did not lay flat when closed (bulged a lot). And was poorly stitched at on corner. I was really surprised at the poor quality given how expensive it is. Great video btw.

I use my mini pochette every day and in most of my bags. I remember when I started watching your channel you brought a Mini pochette for your daughter to have when she gets bigger. You mentioned then that these would probably increase in price, and they have. The other set is nice, but I'm team mini pochette!

Oh my gosh! You remember that! I predicted in that video that the price of the mini pochette would hit $1k by the time my daughter is a teenager and it’s looking like that’s exactly what’s about to happen! What in the world… 🤣

I think LV mini pochette is so on hype because of social media. It is obviously that Kirigami set is much more practical! Cardholder, passport holder and cosmetic pouch/clutch- you get all of these for the same price!

100% the Kirigami is a MUCH better value than the Mini Pochette, such an underrated piece!

The only thing I do not like about the Kirigami, they are so flimsy and thin. I like the Pochette.

I still won’t buy. I had no urge before when the MP was lower in price. And now that they’ve hacked up the price and kept the kirigami set the same they are basically manipulating you into thinking it has any value It’s all psychological games they play. First with the withholding inventory. Then increasing price and then making it available so you have a false sense of achievement in “scoring”. I am done with luxury items for a long time now. I still enjoy my croisette but it’s just getting ridiculous

I think that the Kirigami is beautiful but much easier to produce. No sewing just folding. Nevertheless the mini pochette price is simply ridiculous for what it is.

Well they’re all overpriced, let’s be honest but more isn’t necessarily better, especially if 1 of the 3 pouches remains redundant. Mini Pochette for me because the zip closure and chain mean I can use it as a wristlet and feel more secure when running quick errands. My daughter uses a strap from a bag I already own to make it into a little crossbody bag or threads the chain through a couple of belt loops on her jeans for a quick belt bag. (Sadly, my belt loops are too far apart for me to do this 😆.) The Kirigami is better value if there’s a need for all 3 pouches but like yourself, I too would be hunting for a reason to use the larger one. I wouldn’t use them to run errands with because I couldn’t be hands free, so in reality I’d have paid for 2 small pouches to hold bits and bobs inside my bag - and that’s not good value.

Meh…I ordered the Kirigami. and immediately returned it. The set was very nice but compared to my cosmetic pouch $570, key case and round coin purse it was so flimsy. The Toiletry pouch, in my opinion is also flimsy. You’re better off going to the store and touching the products.

The Kirigami is so expensive and theres absolutely nothing to it, its just folded and easy to produce and Cheap to produce....Too highly priced.

I dislike the set. It’s very ugly to me. I have the accessories which is way more practical and betters

I just treated myself to the kirigami set and I absolutely love it!!!!! 🤎🤎🤎🤎 I just can't bring myself to buy the mini pochette at that price point!!! You definitely get more bang for your buck with the kirigami set.. I'm not even worried about it not having a zipper especially when there are many conversion kits you can use with this set. I'll tell you what...I love this set sooooo much that I purchased another kirigami set for my daughter!!!!
