Louis Vuitton Capucines vs Valextra Brera | Anesu Sagonda

In this video I compare the Louis Vuitton Capucines and Valextra Brera. Two bags similar in design and vastly different price points but the same level of luxury. I discuss why I think the Brera on balance is a better bag for quality and craftsmanship.
Top worn in the video is from Miu Miu.
*My channel is growing but at the moment I am still funding it largely by myself. If you value my content please consider purchasing a super thanks you will find links attached to each video, also watching the advertisements in full would also be a big help.*

    The close-up shots helps a lot, thank you! Although I like both styles, I agree with you that the Brera is more of a understated elegance.

    Your content continues to inform and delight. I have only seen a LV Capucine once in the "wild" after finding it on the LV website. I was a goner for that bag... until this video. I want QUALITY and have no desire to aspire to any brand that doesn't DELIVER CRAFTSMANSHIP for their price points. Logos are advertising in my book, so the smaller the better as the purchaser is not paid for being seen with their brand! This channel has once again helped me to be a better informed customer and I will be well armed when my time comes to purchase the finest I can afford.

    First of all, I really love your chanel! It’s so enriching and I really wanted to thank you for sharing all your knowledge about the luxury world. I found your chanel because I was looking for information about brands that are, as you say, a little under the radar but really look into quality and craftsmanship. I do not want to offend anyone with this comment but I am a little tired of seen lots of “bag collections” that might be over 60,000€ setting on ikea wardrobes. People who spend so much money to really show off but really not caring about the craftsmanship, quality and knowledge behind a brand. To me there are some brands that I just refuse to buy because of how over exposed are just for the reason to show off. If there a chance that you could do a video of brands (not only about bags, any accessory at all) that handmade there products? Thank you so much, I really love your chanel!

    Awww thank you that’s incredibly kind of you to say. Your comment is valid it is how things generally are in the luxury handbag world. Collections with 50-100 bags and I often wonder when are they actually used and they cost the same as a small house in certain parts of the world?! I have a video like that in mind for a number of homeware brands but I’ll have a little think for accessories.

    Hi Anesu, lovely handbag comparison video as always. Both bags are beautiful. But tbh, I like the LV Capucine aesthetic more. I haven’t gotten a chance to see the Valextra Brera bag in person yet. Also- I would love to see your handbag collection if that’s possible. I think that would be a great video content to consider. ✨

    Love this series and that you're highlighting new-to-me brands! I'm in my late 20s and just starting out my luxury experience and I want to focus on 'quiet' brands. Could you consider doing an alternative to the Hermes Oran? I love Hermes but I think the Oran sandals are very saturated and I'd love something of similar quality but more understated.

    It is so funny you have to mention the superior edge glazing of Valextra, you probably are aware of the Capucines FIASCO where all bags were recalled that were produced in 2013-2014 because the edge glazing MELTED!!! You probably know about this, but so classy not to mention it :)

    I’m considering the Brera as an alternative to a Birkin because of the square shape and top centerpiece hardware. What is the potential for color transfer with this harder lighter leather?

  • @SoAnesu

    @SoAnesu

    I think all light colours have transfer potential.. You cn use scotch guard to add an additional layer but i dont think you can get around it in varying degrees.

    I love your content and looking to purchase my first higher quality bag . However , my old bags have a thin black edge lining that peel off . Ex: Kate spade , ysl and other name brands have it on their edges . My ysl leather tote wears out on the edges and looking for a really durable handbag . Do you have any recommendations or care recommendations to keep the handbag in good condition especially the edges ?

  • @SoAnesu

    @SoAnesu

    Hear, hear! Please let me know when you do purchase. I think with edges it’s being mindful how you carry the bag, whether they are rubbing or not and having good edges to begin with!

    Hi Anesu. I have a question, how do both of the bags have the straps attached? If my memory is right, I recall being impressed in store that the LV Capucine had piggyback loops. I'm not sure I would choose to buy the Capucine over another brand at its price point either, but LV certainly does not do that on most bags. Right now, having seen it, I am keen on Moynat's Voyage PM bag. The quality is wonderful, but they have missed the loop feature and it is putting me off!

    The Hardware quality of the capucines is beside of the bad and way to much thick coating nothing more than a joke these days. Went to my local boutique the other day to have a look and the gold colour of the hardware on the feet of the bag already came off just from sitting on a shelf in the store… big No for me! Btw: great content! Really love to watch your videos ❤️🤓 helps me a lot to make better decisions!
