When I was 5 years old I was sick with the flu. My mother bought me a 45 record of Louis Armstrong. It had "Twas the night before Christmas" on one side and "When the saints go marching in" on the flip side. That was 50 years ago. I no longer have the record but I still have the memories. MUSIC IS MAGICAL!

When heard this wonderful song today I nearly had to cry because I remembered my childhood in the early sixtees and my now dead mother. Records at that time still were rare and special and she enjoyed the music of that time especially the pieces from SATCHMO which made her dance and feel happy and young and I can still remember her happy face.

People, due to tradition, are visiting cementaries to pray for their dead relatives, but in fact this is happy holiday, because we should be happy that all the saint people are having peaceful time in heaven forever. Although Louis Armstrong is my favorite entertainer of all time (or at least one of them), the one who stole this show IS J E W E L B R O W N , THAT LADY WITH THE MOST GORGEOUS LOOKS AND TALENT. Her voice! I fell in love with it, and with her! Well, God bless her, she's still around and just 79 years of age. Born August 30, 1937 in Houston, Texas. She's a jazz and blues singer (oh, what a voice! And her killer looks! She's so, so attractive and sexy in the video! WOW!). In 1971 she retired to look after members of her ailing family. She later also opened a hair salon in Houston. In recent years she did return to singing, for instance in the Heritage Hall Jazz Band....

My grandmother always said Louis Armstrong was her favorite musician, and when I took up trumpet in the 5th grade my parents said I had to be the next louis armstrong before I could learn another instrument, and that's pretty much how I found out about his music, and I still like to listen to it every now and again, I'm going into 8th grade now.

Love that lady’s style in singing, dress, and choreography

Every time I watch Louis Armstrong sing, I can’t help but smile. That smile while he’s singing. He’s so damn happy, I love it.

That melody was used to teach me and my colleagues in junior marching band. We don't even know the real name of this song - we called this "sol dó ré mi", name of the firsts notes of the music. It's a great pleasure to hear this and remember that times. Thanks to my dad to present this for us! ❤

Its still around, its just abit harder to find nowadays. I recommend Post Modern Jukebox and the man called Si Cranstoun.. though Si Cranstoun is abit more 50's and 60's :)

Watching all of these beautiful musicians makes me so emotional. Pure talent, gorgeous smiles, and nothing but good vibes. So, so, so, so much respect to all of these performers. I feel nothing but love FEELING this performance.

They've got such an energy it's intoxicating

I remember this performance when I was a kid and still love to hear it in 2023.

Yesssirr. The secret to their longevity was they were humble and true, and never forgot where they came from, or who they were.And most of all, they always treated people right. I was born and raised right here in St.Louis, Missouri. My Mom was born and raised in Louisiana. Mr.Armstrong introduced "Jazz", first to " polite" society playing on the Riverboats sailing from New Orleans to Minnesota in the 1920's. This world is 100% better because of "Louie" and his spirit is still being felt here in St. Louis and all along the Mississippi River more than 100 years later!

The voice if that woman is like special effects i love this jazz🤟🏿

Louis Armstrong is not dead he is in another beautiful wonderful world❤😊

Everyone recognizes Louis talents and gifts. With that being said, whoever is singing behind him has the voice of one of Gods angels.

This is the music of my grandfather, but it wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to any 18-year old.

Miss Jewell Brown! What a GEM! I was in Gospel radio for a while and most "regular radio listeners" dont know the amazing singers who are in that format. It was truly a blessing to be part of it all. Thank you Louie! Say hello to our Dad in heaven. And thank you for being so nice to us kids when we met you in the familys restaurant in Corona Queens NY. And Miss Brown if no one heard this back then thanks to the internet we ALL have now, everyone share!

she single handedly carries half the song and he doesn't even mention her name during the introductions. She's amazing.

He truly was, but I wanna share something. None of us deserve Heaven. We are sinners before God even this man. But Jesus took the debt for us. You must believe in the gospel to enter heaven. That Jesus died and resurrected for us. Repent. God bless
