LOUD 240bhp Renault Clio RS - POV! (4K)

Hi guys! Unfortunately Cockblock-19 has put a stop to our usual antics, so this week we decided to take our own cars to the UK's only 160mph zone in the quaint county of Surrey. This Renault Clio RS in particular is running a 240bhp RSTuning map which, as you can see from the footage, has completely transformed this car. It is also running a straight through exhaust with just the primary cat left in place. Most people turn their nose up at the thought of an automatic hot hatch, but the EDC in the Mk4 Clio RS is simply astonishing and with a map and some bolt ons, not much will be keeping up with this thing on a country road.

The Clio RS trophy with the EDC is a very good small hot hatch, more than quick enough for a blast.
I’ve been looking at these for the local roads around me for a fun car, this video was perfect when I realised it was taken on one of my routes from Ranmore 😁

That bang at 3:19 💥😍 I noticed if you upshift around 4.5/5 rpm in race mode the sound is very nice, and you can feel the car push you back 😂

It usually does a big backfire like that at the top of the Rev range going downhill! Wish it done it more on flat roads though 🥺

looking to buy one as a daily (first car) is the gearbox really as bad as people make it out to be? any regrets of ownership? anything to look out for?

Gearbox is 10x as good as people make it out to be. Can’t fault it, works perfectly when driven hard and is very intuitive. Only thing to look out for on these cars is a jubilee clip on the boost pipe which corrodes and can fall off, you can see it immediately when you open the engine bay, replace it with a new metal clip and you’re good to go. Amazing car.

People are just so hung up on the manuals! Don’t believe all the bullshit! Amazing all round car. Box is amazing, love mine.

Umm, mine does, RS 220 Trophy. Buttons are on the side of the seats.

@@CthulhouDepends. I also have the trophy with fabric seats and no heating. The leather ones come with heating if you opted for that
