Thank you, Bally Sports Detroit. I was born in Pontiac, grew up in Lapeer and then Flint during Lou's career so I had the honor of watching all 19 years as a kid/young adult. I'm no longer in Michigan but remain a huge Tigers so being able to watch this today was special. Thanks for sharing this with all of us.

One of the best ever. Sweet Lou should have been in the HOF along time ago. The 1984 Detroit Tigers was one of the best teams ever. And don't get shit of recognition. Because it's Detroit. Bullshit!

Funny that in 1984 pop culture was booming but baseball that season was boring unless you were a Tigers fan Padres fan or Cubs fan lol

Born in 1973, Toronto area baseball fan.... the A.L East always had great Blue Jays/Tigers games. I remember Lou well as a young baseball fanatic. Congrats Lou, deserved.

Great to see! Lou was my favorite player growing up. Totally deserved. He may not be a HOF player, but he was clearly one of the best players in Tigers history.

UMM I agree with everything you said but the first part. You know Miggy 3,000th hit happened this year or Miggy 500th, or No hitter last year Or Trammels jersey retirement or their WS Berth in 2012, Or Miggy's Triple Crown, Or Jvs no Hitters Def greater moments than Lou's but it was still amazing and is better than some of these

@@theverburger purely perspective. I grew up with Lou's teams. For me, this was better than all those. Definitely all great moments you listed but this was extremely special for me on a whole different level

The reason Mr. Horton has a statue at Comerica Park is not so much for the player he was. It is for the man he is.

I have a picture of Tram and Lou tapping gloves at second base. They need to make a statue of that image for Comerica Park.

Jim Leyland looked out of it at this ceremony. 😳 I thought he was stoned or asleep. So glad they didn't ask him to speak. Can't understand him still.
