I have recorded a red Lotus Exige Series 2. It features a naturally aspirated 1.8L 16-valve DOHC Toyota/Yamaha engine that produces 190 bhp. In this video you can hear the sound of the engine (start up and accelerating).

haha. by my country's standards, 40,000 euros can only get you an expensive second hand toyota camry.
If you look at the weight and the seize of the car 1,8 l and 190 hp ist quite nice :)
There are supercharged options that produce about 250 hp but the car weighs less than 2,000 pounds so you don't need 600 hp to go fast. I'm sure there are lots of turbo options out there though.

it isn't too expensive in the sense that some saving could easily get you one if you have a standard income. it's not like saying I want a lexus lfa, yeah good luck on that! :P
God damn I want to get me one of these one day . A 2007-10 model Exige and twincharge it like my AW11.

@@feral4mr2 That you wouldnt appreciate the car as it was built, by the experts. Instead you would choose to engineer it yourself and give it so much HP that the gearbox, brakes and engine would no longer be reliable, is a shame. It's already the perfect balance of HP to Weight. It's not about going fast in a straight line.
