Great clip, and the best model/colour Lotus ever. So great I went out and bought one as well :)

Loved this piece. Real effervescent enthusiasm and boyish excitement without the 'shouty shouty' I often see on sports car reviews.

I bought a 2007 exige s220 last year here in the US. Part of me was debating trading in for something I can enjoy more than an occasional track day (ttrs maybe) but I think I will keep it. Everything you day in the video is correct. Racecar for the street is an overused quote, but apt and honest for the Lotus.

Have you seen our "I Bought One" series on KZread? You should probably check it out, this time out we have Quintin's Lotus Exige S 240. It really does sound amazing!

3:30 Sharing the Joy with others just by driving past is what makes cars like this so epic. And it sets those kids on the path to working hard and achieving the same, keeping workers in the car industry meaningfully employed in the process.

Have nearly the same Exige S240, in Krypton Green. But with a remap to s260. Love the MY2010 front clam of yours.

Brilliant video - reminded me of how I felt when I had mine bringing out the inner child. That Tublar sounds epic on overrun!

If I owned one of these, the first thing I would do would be to add lightness. I would remove the inside rear view mirror as it serves no function whatsoever.

julius dogta - yes, the Exige is a track tuned version of the Elise. This one also has a supercharger which means more powaaaaaa

I'm being completely honest when I say I'm so jealous I almost didn't enjoy watching this! ;P No seriously, good for Quintin, I aim to own one of these in the future, however I'll most likely end up with an Elise, and just put the 30k I save into upgrades hehehe.

I installed a rear view camera. Cheap and easy.

Watching everything on the opposite side is making me a bit OCD not gonna lie lol.

That is a real back killer with nothing to enjoy inside. Is a car for a race track really. Good to drive a few times and enjoy but then you want to get into a normal car and go home. So basically better to rent a few drives in a race track in it than actually owning it.

Some people want to own something like this and good for them if they can deal with the "harsh" interior conditions. I'm one of those people, I'd daily a f1 car if I could.

If you actually had such things for daily commute you will fast enough start to get tired of such daily commute and want something more comfortable. If you are rich enough to have a second car like this for weekend track days or driving in some fun roads with little traffic then is ok.

The Lotus Elise/Exige with the newer Probax seats, is one of the most comfortable seats I have ever sat in, despite being thinly padded. It is designed to hug your spine, and once in, I can drive all day and not have a sore back.

Both me and my Exige's previous owner have bad backs. After spacing the front of the seats up by a little over 1/4", I can ride in mine for hours without back pain. It was the previous owner's daily driver for years, and he put over 75,000 miles on it. I think it has 82,000 on it now. I've driven it a lot more than I though I would, and can't stay out of the damned thing. It's highly addictive. So, it's not an uncomfortable car, at least not for me. Just don't expect it to ride like a new 3-Series BMW.

They haven't been unreliable for years - The new Toyota V6 engine is extremely reliable and parts are easy to source, plus servicing costs are very reasonable.

Doubtful, it's because the Exige literally weighs half of what most supercars do, it may not sound that powerful, but it'll get to 60 in 3.7 seconds, which is nearly as fast as a ferrari 458, and handles even nimbler. My Elise is bored, boosted, turbo & supercharged, and I can get to 60 in 3 seconds flat now. I smoked a lambo the other day.

cybertree Not quite 3.7 sec. The fastest exige they made can do it in 4.0 sec.

cybertree this are good numbers but come on 20 hp is not a lot for that price ....a normal turbocharger delivers 50 hp.why not to put a turbocharger in that thing in that thing? stage 2 could brobible deliver 70 hp
