I did many long trips in my +2. The most refined and comfortable 2000lb car I've ever been in. Way more refined than a BMW 2002. comfortable smooth riding room to have a jacket and a hat.

Never seen this coupe of the Lotus Elan. Yet I've only seen the roadster and I guess it won't happen that I'm going to see a +2 too soon. The front styling of the roadster is looking better but the wider rear end is really very nice on this one. But well. that's just my opinion and beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The Lotus Excel is also sounding interesting. Had to check up about this one because I can't remember to have ever seen one. Very beautiful and elegant coupe in the old 70s-80s boxy design.

The Lotus was probably a better handling Car than the E-Type , although that's difficult to measure, but in a straight line the Jag would be quicker- 0-60 7.2 s vs.8.4 s and definitely faster at the top end - 142 mph vs. 120 mph .
