Love this, my style

Hi Lauren! Do you have a video of a tour of this art journal? I love scrapping paper together to make junk journals. And smushing paint around and adding scribbles is my jam. But I ALWAYS get stuck when it comes to the next stage: focusing on one page and turning it into… something. Lol a “piece”? A “finished work”? I’d love to see the final end product of these pages you made!

Hi Lauren, I have just found your channel and I'm really excited about your art. I'm enjoying you speaking about your thought processes, ideas and how you go about things. I admire grungy and loose but have difficulty achieving it. I think it is due to an inability, of the age old problem, of not being able to let go. Hi! So I use a laser printer and those tend not to smear. You can still use images from an ink jet printer though. What I would do is let the paper sit for a few hours after you print it to make sure the ink is good and dry. Then glue it to your surface with either a glue stick or heavy gloss gel. Heavy get has less moisture than medium and should keep the image from smearing. Then gently seal it with heavy gel on top with a soft brush. Let that dry and then if you want a more matte finish you can go over it again with matte gel or medium or clear gesso. I just find that when sealing something that the gloss products work better than the matte so I use that first if I need something to be good and sealed.

I think you had a part 3 for this journal... Where you add leafs and stuff but I can't find it 😢

Hi! It’s tape - the kind you have to wet to activate the sticky stuff. I just glue a page to the one next to it with the tape and keep going and then take the pages and glue the stack into the cover with more tape.
