At first I was really sceptical. But later on when I actually heard what song it was I was really impressed, it's better than the original in the way that it sounds more powerful.

Ian's the only guy that can front this band. He had the looks and charm and a good singing voice. Very cool taste in pop culture too, which he brought to the band. His actions will haunt him forever, but I believe things were blown out of proportion at the time, I.e. made up.

this beginning seriously kicks ass, it's fucking awesome! miss this side of lostprophets, they just didn't give a shit, went crazy and performed such amazing songs, now they're really different, got a pop style to them, especially on the liberation transmission album. I can't wait for their new album though, Ian Watkins said in an interview "it's going to be more dark like our first album" lets just see shall we :D

no they havent... they still play the kobrakai intro and fsop and a couple weeks ago they played and she told me to leave. although they do change it around sometimes. BUT they do play old stuff.

no, but i've got the whole video of a similar show in their early days. (3/4 the show is a video the rest is audio). they weren't as good live back then as they are now but there's no such thing as a bad prophets performance ahahaha. i'll put it up after my exams when i have time.

lol, ummm, ok i see we both have different opinions, which is good thing but i thought start something was their best album and as fashion trends change so do peoples personal preferances. tbh, i like them just as much now as i did before start something. i guess i may be a bit biase as i love prophetsand they're my fav band but, yh u have ur opinion and i respect that and get what ur aiming at.

well you cant really say they sold out to pop culture (the new album is just as much of a sellout as the clash were), coz their first album was nu metal and that was the 'in' thing back then and they're just exploring the genres they like and enjoy. although they did admit to their last album being their one commercial one. their next album is goin to be great, back to the old stuff search: next stop atrocity, dead, weapon and felon. :)

i never thought of their first album as nu metal really, or at least in a different class to limp bizkit and their ilk. it had a nice faith no more feel to it with touches of funk and jazz. it just seemed to me like they went over to america to record start something and came back totally different, in came the dumbed down riffs and repetative chorus' (burn burn, last train home etc...) and even worse...the dreaded haircuts and skinny jeans..they need to get back to their roots

im guessing this was in their early days ian doesnt sound the same when he says "lets go" he normally screams it plus lee looks too young

I've been to plenty, and whether you believe it is up to you. My comment was being sarcastic how the crowd doesn't deserve to be there because Lost Prophets are so good they deserve an equal crowd. And this crowd are...not.
