Bob Vargo was the director for a musical I was in...A Christmas Carol at the Youngstown Playhouse 2001 Great Man...He was at Lilian Rezanka's funeral.

I wish I could go back in time to experience all of it. I'm happy I get to hear stories from family and glad they were photo fanatics!

I remember going there to see The Empire Strikes Back. It truly is lost history along with so many other places in Youngstown.

Same here ! We lived off of southern Blvd,....... maybe you knew me and my brother , John and Randy Daff...

I saw The Exorcist there when it came out.

For us west siders, if you wanted to make an impression on the young lady, you drove to the Newport for a movie rather than the Schenley or the Uptown.

I'm 48 and live in fort lauderdale and as soon as I see the newport I'm taken back to the third grade and when I saw tom sawyer and huck finn at a school field trip

Left Youngstown to raised my kids in a better place and never looked back but I wish Youngstown could have stayed like it was before the mills closed. That's when the Youngstown and the whole valley crumbled and it will never return.

Seen dirty dancing there about a dozen times. Think it was only a buck. Sad it was torn down.

Well apparently Handel's is on the way out too. Relegated to the dust bin with the Newport.
