I love the history this brings up. I’ve always found coins very fascinating, even old 20th century coins still found in current circulation. The stories that can (could) be told in their brief history! Whose pockets did they reside in, was it someone famous, was it a child’s first BIG spend at a penny candy parlor…. etc… etc…. . Then I watch Chill Bill pulling out Roman coins 2000 plus years old, they have lived a life even more stupendous. Albeit they have been buried for a vast majority of their existence, they still have a story. Was the soldier thousands of miles away from home for years on end. Absolutely love this kind of stuff! I’m from New England where our history doesn’t spread that far in comparison to Europe. Yet I still marvel at the old colonial houses and buildings that are 300 plus years old and imagine the lifetimes that have been seen in those walls!
USA HERE Bill I love your hunts and the Invenio has really shown us somethings we may never have seen in our lifetimes. I truly enjoy you and your sense of humor and might I add your knowledge.
Congratulations Chill on an awesome artifact recovery day. I felt with your new equipment, knowledge and permissions that you would make bucket list discoveries. I loved watching you enjoy the fruit of your labor. Thank you for sharing and the very best of luck to you on your next hunt for treasure. Hoard.....
Just sayin', maybe not good to rub the dirt from those ancient relics. Could ruin the markings. Enjoyed the hunt.
One of your best days yet , fabulous finds , great stuff😎
What a great video! Amazing finds, well done you must be chuffed. Thanks for posting!
Next time bring a bottle of water and wash the coins instead of rubbing the dirt out of them.

Love love love your videos your humour is fabby keep them coming 👍
i know the feeling old man lol. Happens to me all the time too. I only have so many digs in a day so I am super selective and then my younger buddies find all the good stuff because they did a hundred more holes then me. Oh well... getting out at all is still better than not. Great vid again, thanks.
What a day. What a great detector. Great job Bill......
Awesome hunt Chill Bill. That Constantine @18:10 was just pristine....what a lovely coin. The Invenio is an awesome machine, but much like you, I'm still waiting for that first GOLD coin! Cheers to Brice as well!
That's awesome. Great finds
All I can do is laugh as usual! Truly entertaining and many great finds!!!
Awesome video!!! So much fun!!! Thank you for sharing!😃
Well done to both of you..I would love a piece of history like that. When I was at School I did so dis-like History and now I love it ..All the best from Tassie Australia..
Awesome Roman coins Bill! Looks like the detector is getting some super deep targets. Thanks for sharing! Happy Hunting! ~ Gypsy
that is a beast of a machine, great video clem...
The coin at 8:53 looks like a barbarous imitation of a Constantinian AE4 Follis
Clumsy couple of chaps eh? Absolutely love your channel. Great dig. Great machine.
Impressive haul. Good to see you back.
Most enjoyable , Thank You for sharing the Hunt.....
That was an amazing hunt Clem congrats on the roman coins.
The coin at 18:06 is Constantius II, the son of Constantine I. AE3 follis, struck 332-333 A.D. Obverse: FL IVL CONSTANTIVS NOB C, laureate, cuirassed bust right. Reverse: GLORIA EXERCITVS, two soldiers, holding spears and shields, two standards between them with narrow banners. Mintmark TRP * (Trier). Reference: RIC VII, Trier 546. The coin at 38:31, based on the style appears to be a Barbaric imitation of Constans, "Gloria Exercitus" type.

I feel incredibly foolish after my GPS comment when I saw the screen for your new detector. Way better. Very clever, to have a 3D picture of what is there. You really are a great ad for them. Another fab video xx😊🙃😊xx

That is one impressive piece of technology
Great film and great finds! I like your movies a lot!! Please keep filming

Love your channel and your winning personality, especially when you have your happy (found the gold look) on your face. Wowee! Incredible , crazy ancient Roman finds! Love it! Good for You! I am always a bit shocked when you men/boys across the pond, find relics and coins that are ancient, you're shouting about it being silver or gold, which we know are soft enough to get scratched and someone picks up the coin and all that dirt and sand and vigorously rubs the coin on the pant leg. It's hard to look at that, knowing it will scratch the heck out of it. The other side of the coin, so to speak, is the boys on this side of the pond, they find a silver coin that's less than Two hundred years and they treat it like a newborn child and I guess our coins are new in comparison to the coins you find over there. Please don't take offense, as it is meant in a good way. : )
I wonder how this detector would stack up against the $2000 Nexus Standard MP. It would be great to see both in action on the same plot of ground. You and the Nokta are cleaning up in a previously thought cleaned out area. If I had ten grand laying around I would love to have this detector, but as it is I can`t even afford a Minelab Equinox 800 which I would be glad to own as well. Great video Chill Bill.
Some very nice and interesting finds!
Bill absolutely amazing video
Wow. Detecting small coins amongst the iron like champs. Bring on the gold.
That is amazing Bill. You are getting your moneys worth on that detector!
Got to love nokta ....
Great hunt, love you Invenio
What a great day! Fantastic to see that beast machine pulling up the Roman and to see the graphics, keep up the great vids, if you’re ever in Somerset, shout me up.
Great Video. How do you preserve your Roman coins? Wax?
Interesting to see possibly the future of detecting machines, there’s only so much the normal detector can give but this technology is a step further in the industry, yes it’s expensive but so were the first computers, it will be interesting from comparable aspect as to wether it does out perform some of the top normal machines like a dues or CTX.
Love you Bill!
If that 3rd find was at a 1ft deep hes got massive hands ?
How could anyone not love Bill

Super monetki 👍
Wonderful👍👍
Been waiting for this video. The machine looks vgood. Can't wait for the whole package in the future. Like a drone with lidar and GPS scanning ahead for our robot shovel with a webcam we can just watch the highlights from our hover cars.
You look as if you are going to step out on the yacht. Fancy! Pricey gadget too.
Wow, so many Romans. Superb. Way to go Mr. Chill. Jan in SoCal
Very interesting stuff. Just curious, have you ever tried a Blisstool? These machines specialize in deeper hunting just not as fancy with technology. I have one and it picks through iron quite nicely. Although that Nokta seems to be a beast both in weight and detecting ability. Sorry for ranting. Keep up the good work.
Awesome vid
Very nice finds
Great stuff chap. $10k seems a reasonable price to me, it's the sort of dosh friends of mine have paid for their high-end cameras. And you seem to be having easily as much fun as those lads - with the bonus for you of there being a pot of gold somewhere down the line. 👍🏼

Very Nice Clem. Baz.
Why are some people so upset over you paying that much for something that gives you so much joy? Are they jealous because they can't afford one or jealous that you derive so much pleasure from this pastime and they lead boring miserable lives? Unfortunately a lot of people never realize that there is more to life than money or the lust for it.
A lot of those fields look like beaches, very sandy soil.
Just another comment. In the Invenio videos produced by Nokda/Makro ("NM" from now on), they seem to show a method of refining the image using different filter that can show the shape. Would like to see that implemented. Of course I just discovered your channel an hour ago, and am binge watching. I will check your subsequent videos. Cheers.
some great coins there you on new sites, the flux capacitor might actually pay off,i think burying some stuff and taking note off humps and bumps on the monitor might quicken the learning curve.good luck from expat down under,1844 brit shilling today theirs plenty of brit pre decs here..
Absolutely AWESOME field, treasure hunt and company! Brice is such a kind guy, really nice! Very cool new machine, expensive yes, but I think it will pay for itself soon, lol! All the very best to you and Brice and your talented lovely wife!

you have it sit on deep mode, but it’s only digging about a foot deep?
Now you can find that big hoard of Roman coins. Yeah.
Do you fill up those holes when done with them?
great investment chap
good work
Hello Friend. I wanted to ask a question about this metal detector. he managed to detect up to how many meters deep, depending on the terrain ????
Bill have you considered getting a bipod for that machine so you could set it down without damaging the gizmo mounted under the shaft? I saw some nice surplus Bren gun bipods that would look nice and probably work well

Not a bad idea, not sure I want anything linked to weapons though....
A suggestion: Mark inches/centimeters on your pinpointer! That way you can actually know how deep the holes are (because, well, guys can't measure accurately to save their lives. All women know this.) Lovely finds; I'm very curious about that odd buckle.

@@michelewestover9330 So, if you don't, where do you get the idea that men ALWAYS overestimate the size of their cocks? I can guarantee that any comment stating that 'women ALWAYS do something would have you in outrage. Here's one for you. Women ALWAYS seize any opportunity to ridicule men. Does that work for you?
A Roman nail about a foot? Now Bill don’t get religious on me lol
looks like a small plastic colander would be a great addition.
fantastic
This is probably my favorite video you have ever done Bill. Great seeing that awesome detector......and going along on the hunt. Hope you find GOLD on every trip. Good show Bill....Good Show

Been having a lovely time watching your vids since seeing you with Brad Martin from Green Mountain channel.
I'm curious, two years later what do you think of this metal detector? Out of all of your findswith the detector, can you think of a few where it was absolutely amazing at locating the good stuff amongst the trash?

@@ChillBill1 well you've had her for a few years now, I believe, I assume that your best finds were Roman coins that were otherwise buried amongst a lot of iron? I saw you pull up that gold coin while mud larking and I'm wondering what happened with that? That was a fine of a lifetime. From what I could see of that coin, it matched up with something that I found that was worth over $900,000.

@@ChillBill1 well you've had that metal detector for several years now? I imagine your best finds with it have been deep Roman coins amongst a lot of iron? The fact is, do you really think it is worth the almost $7,100 sterling? I would think it's best for objects that are larger? But I have seen you pull up coins that were around 20 mm in diameter.
A little generous on the depth estimations I think, but still a cool video. I'd clean out the iron in that area as well, just to unmask anything under it. Very productive spot.
Great video Clem, I agree you'll get your money's worth, be careful focused on only non iron targets, the biggest metal detecting mistake I've ever made was when I had a hard iron signal and passed it by thinking it was another large nail, then the guy behind me stopped and dug down two feet to a soccer ball sized iron kettle full to the top with silver and gold coins.glhh

Great hunt, you must have been over the moon?! So, do you know much of the history of that area - has anyone officially excavated - which might explain so many Roman coins?? Great way to start 2019 - just as you know it's going to go on!😎🏆🎈🎉🐾🥂
That buckle like thing looks very much like a presser foot plate on old sewing machines.
