Dan's flight experience sounded absolutely miserable. On one hand, It makes me sad Brandon doesn't tour, because a chance to meet in person is something special. . .on the other. . .the level of communication makes up for it. The livestreams are amazing and even this podcast lets us fans 'in' in a way a tour never could. I'll take this over a tour I can't attend any day.

I went to a church camp once where I didn’t know anyone. I tried to read in the corner for a few days, but it got old. I ventured out and there were already cliques in the hotel. I got a little down and was wishing I could go home. THEN, I stumbled across the room full of nerds watching Galaxy Quest. That movie will forever be among my favorites for that reason.

I love that Brandon tours less. Obviously it’s good for his health and all, but selfishly as a reader I would way rather he be writing more books than doing more tours. Don’t get me wrong I would love to meet him, but getting more books is even better!

The funniest travel story I know didn't happen to me, but I heard it from the man it happened to (so it's only second hand to you). This was back in the sixties, when airport gates worked differently - instead of the fancy walkways that you almost always get nowadays, you would have to leave the terminal and go outside and walk over to a movable stairway which would provide access to the airplane door. It also happened in Europe, and I admit that I'm not sure that I correctly remember the actual cities involved but that's not important. He was in Zurich and needed to go to Amsterdam. For whatever reason he was very late getting to the airport and was afraid that he would miss his flight. In the end he got there just barely in time - I think they actually held the plane for a few minutes for him to be able to make it. So of course he is running through the airport and out of the gate and onto the plane, and as he got on there was a seat right there near the entrance so he just plopped into it and spent much of the (fairly short) flight recuperating from the rush and anxiety of trying to catch the flight. After they land, because he had sat in the seat right by the door he was the first one out and as he exited the plane he looked up toward the terminal and saw written across the top of it "MILANO". He wasn't in Amsterdam, he was in Milan! He said something like, "Oh S**t" and the stewardess asked him what was wrong. He explained that he had been trying to get to Amsterdam and in his rush must have gotten on the wrong plane. The stewardess gets a funny look on her face and rushes back into the plane to talk to the pilot, and pretty soon the passengers are all being escorted back onto the plane. It turns out that the flight in question went to Amsterdam and Milan on alternate days, and the pilot had gotten confused and flown to the wrong airport!

Yeah Brandon, sleep is a major issue for me too. After even two days with little sleep, I've effectively lost the plot and start getting depressed, anxious, sick feeling. More than that and I'm calling off work. Being without sleep is just torture. It was just as true in High School as it is now as an adult. Living a quality life means making the schedule that fits for you and that's a good thing!

I have been on sleeping meds for over 10 years and when I have had issues with other meds or problems with prescription for a week or two have been torture. I'm in the airline industry, so I particularly liked this episode. Those were some great stories. Dan's horror story about flying half way across the globe with five young children almost gave me flash backs! I'm currently DFW based, so it made me sad that he hates it so much, but I totally understand. It can get pretty rough here. In my opinion, Charlotte is WAY worse though. Keep up the great work guys, I hope to see you out there one day!

I'd love to see them talk abou Weathering with you. I've barely seen any people truly appreciate what it does, and it's something that I've seen in almost no other movie. It does like Dark Souls, and only offers you a glance at the infinitely reocurring cosmic cycle that rules that world. Hina and Hodaka are only pawns in a god's game. No one could have stopped that disaster for long.
