"Lost: Love Is the Way" | 30th Sunday in Ordinary Time (Fr. Mike's Homily)

Ойын-сауық

You are called to be love.
When a person is lost, they need to know where they are. We know: you are here. But we also need to know where we are going and how to get there. We know that as well: we are called to be saints and the way is love.
If you would like to support Ascension Presents, send us a Super Chat / Super Sticker in the chatbox or send us a financial gift ( tinyurl.com/2mbu7tvx ). Your support helps us provide you with the Catholic faith formation media you know and love. Thank you!

Protestant considering catholicism here. So much more edifying than the Protestant church I attend with my anti Catholic parents. I want to join the Catholic Church but it since I still live with my anti Catholic parents makes it hard. Been depressed because of that. The rosery helps

Jesus loves you brother! Keep praying the Rosary, but remember no matter what happens, love whoever is in front of you. Love your parents even if they are anti catholic, and pray for their full conversion. Keep fighting and loving no matter what!

@@EthanConiker-oq1uy thanks. This homily was a reminder for me. Showed me I need to love and be patient. The protestant church has been very anti Catholic of late which has been making me bitter as well. I just need to love them no matter what

All Catholic churches have Mass on Saturday afternoons usually around 3, 4 or 5 p.m. perhaps there is a creative way you could attend Saturday Mass at a local parish. ( you can still go with parents on Sunday). The grace and blessings that you will receive by attending Mass will give you additional strength. God be with you.

Ask Jesus to teach you to Love as he Loves! Even your parents. ❤ love those in front of you, where you are right now. Jesus can help you , pray for them. As you grow older and leave your parents home, doors will open for you to grow. We can live in ❤ live right where we are, love God He will lead you!

God seems to be talking through you to me - or maybe He is? Your homily was spot-on for me today. Thank you for becoming a priest; not just for me, but for all who hear you. I know that there are even some who actually see you in person. Heard you gave a homily in NYC and saw you in the Eucharistic Procession. How lovely to be able to see Jesus honored so greatly!

I remember some nights ago, if it's not just yesterday, before I closed my eyes to sleep, I asked God in my mind, "why would I get to marry if You alone, Lord, can complete and satisfy my longing?". I was just so sure He would give me an answer in His way. Now I know Fr Mike's homily today is one of His answers for me 😊 Thank you Father Mike. I'm praying for you and Ascension. ❤

Thank you, Father Mike, for your in-depth exploration of our callings and your analysis from so many different perspectives. A difficulty with love is when one person refuses to love the other or pursue God in a united way. But I see how it is then even more important to pursue peaceful united love, no matter how difficult.

To bring his message. Thank you father.

There is only one plan for your life. The Plan of Salvation. The path to take to get there is different for everyone and you have many choices to get there. Your choices should be made with prayer and if you have a good source to talk it over with. You need to always strive to be the best you can be in any path you take. Never feel used or angry if you have helped someone and they betrayed you but make your decisions with discernment. Don't feel guilty if you did your best and failed. God will use that knowledge down the road. If you feel called to the religious life definitely check it out before saying no. If marriage is your calling be prepared to share your time and everything else in your life.

Please add: We choose who we marry. If we make the choice and the commitment then we need to consistently work towards that commitment. Being forced into a relationship with someone that is not of our choosing and is not someone we'd ever freely choose or is chosen for any reason other than love will NOT work.

X-Files Metaphysics Here on earth like it is in heaven. We are sparks placed here for a brief moment to accumulate light and warmth (love) so that we can become as bright of a star as we can be...shining in heaven (joy, beauty and harmony). God knows every star by name. We accumulate light and warmth (love) by appreciating this paradise planet lifeboat and the miraculous works of fine art called "life" that inhabit it. If we extinguish our light and warmth (love) with "greed" and its ignorance (hate)...we become the darkness and emptiness that surrounds the stars. A very cold, dark, lonely, desolate place to be...for eternity. Jesus (good/god) tried to "save" the counting corpses from "greed" and its ignorance (hate). But the evangelical counting corpses are so ignorant (dead) that they got it backwards. That's why they made an anti-love, anti-christ called Counting Dracula (Trump) into their good (god) and our president.
