LOST in a SKETCHY GLADE at JAY PEAK...

I decided to follow an old track into an unmarked glade at Jay Peak to try and meet up with my friend in a neighbouring glade (Valhalla).
While snow was insanely deep, this meant that tree wells were present and falling into one alone would not be great! I made it out this extremely steep and tight glade, but you should learn from my lesson and NEVER SKI THE BACKCOUNTRY ALONE!!!

What makes it worse is not knowing if the path actually goes where you want to go.

Yeah, I was confident that it would connect to my friend on Valhalla, the glade to skiers left of me, but this random day-old track kept going down, and the snow and trees were too deep and tight to traverse over to the left lol😅😭. Learned my lesson I guess
I clicked for the east coast tree wells. But, stayed for the east coast survival skiing

There was definitely both lol😅On another note, I finally upgraded my department store mtb to a Rocky Mountain growler, so I’m super excited to progress in my riding this season!
