Nice job. I have a u0168 loss comm with security module. But it's starting. Customer claims it didn't have a no start till the installed a aftermarket remote start. 2011 dodge ram 1500 5.7 hemi. Any thoughts after I check what you did on that hvac module. Powers and grounds and can network on the security module?

My brothers 2016 jeep Cherokee latitude is doing the same thing. Where is the HVAC control module? Is it behind the head unit that has the 3 control buttons? I see a black box with 2 different harness connectors. His ac system is to be dead and all the fuses are good. None of them are blown.

Would that be a error code U1403? I have a 2016 Jeep Patriot and all the lights on the dash board all flash on and off like a Christmas tree periodically and where the mileage is shown it says NO BUS when the lights come on...the error code is U1403 that comes back...I just recently had the TIPM changed due to a accident at the dealership, but it is still having all the warning lights on the Dashboard Light Up and when I took it back to the dealership they act as if they've done what they could and they tell me that I need to take the vehicle to a a vehicle electrician to get it diagnosed but my vehicle still under warranty and I feel that it should be able to be diagnosed there at the dealership since they didn't fix the problem in the first place. Hello Ram 2014 1500 laramie I got (U112c - U113B / U0140) active errors and B1D9B stored error. The 4X4 and all lower dash controls (traction/seats heat/tow..etc) are not working but i can control it from screen, next day the screen didn’t work! My husband is a driver of Jeep Wrangler JK Rubicon (2015) Airbag light keeps turning on once he turns on the Jeep and never goes away. Malfunction code is U0151. Is this because of ORC module problem? He changed his clockspring but didn't work. He unplugged the airbag connector under the driver's seat and the passenger's seat and plugged them again and didn't work as well. If this is the problem of ORC module, is it possible to solve the problem by resetting the module? or anybody knows how to fix the problem? Thanks!

I need a expert opinion. 2017 Jeep Cherokee. Trail hawk 2.4. Got tints. He removed batt. After a day I got cel. PSCM no communication (still had power steering. Or electric idk which I got. ) month later or so. Cel came one. Tried scanning. My scanned freaked car out. All dash lights and chimes and stuff came on along with front wipers. Reset it with a better tool. Had permanent codes for loss connection to tmc bcm pscm scm can c. Vehicle speed measure and vehicle distance measure. And can bus c code. All relate to the can bus. Could it be the battery is bad? Or should I just reset the ecu by taking off the bat for a while?

I hope you got your issue figured out. I've got the same thing going on with a 2012 300c. Same symptoms. However, I'm pretty sure my problem is related to rodent damage, as the car was barely used and was parked where it had happened to other cars. A low battery or a bad ground can cause the issue, or a broken (or chewed) wire can also cause this.

I have 07 dodge magnum srt8 and I’m getting OBD II codes. They are as follows no communication with HVAP module, lost engine coolant message, lost communication with ECM/PCM, check TPM, small evap leak, misfire cylinder 2, my key stopped unlocking my doors, and my head lights flickering. I had my TCM replaced about 7 months ago at a dodge dealership I’m beginning to think they replaced the wrong part. I would really like your advice if u would. Does this sound like a bad ECM/PCM? I don’t know what to do; also, the car has 83k miles if that helps. Thanks

Why did you test all the voltages in a STATIC state? You could have 14 v at the connector when unplugged b/c there's NO current flow. However, plug it in and BACKPROBE it. You could have a voltage drop "upstream" from the connector and when the circuit is CLOSED, you are only getting 7 v at that wire! If you don't need to voltage drop test this circuit, please explain why not. Thanks so much!

ladale21 you mean can (+) is 3.2v and can(-) is 1.6? There may till be a corroded short I side the harness you can’t see with all that water that’s probably your issue.

Another MOPAR Chrysler Tech i got a used harness for body and engine still no ckm with any under hood modules , found out at tge endof install that the main can wiring is a $100 (new) dash to engine harness, ill be replacing that next week

Same with my ram. Those suckers are expensive. Junk yard less than 100 vs the cheapest one at 450. They go from 450 to 995.

I have a 2012 Durango R/T. It has an intermittent problem where it starts and runs for a couple seconds and then dies. Attempts to start without first turning off the ignition result in a 10 second or so crank with no start. The engine will start and run fine after the ignition is turned off. I have had the fuel pump relay recall done and I have checked the relay's function during one of these events, I know the fuel pump is getting power. Yesterday it did it again and I was able to use my diagnostic tool and saw that at least half of the 20 or 21 modules lost communication with the ECU; the ECU showed no faults. It will probably run for months without this happening again. Ever see or heard anything like this?

jack T check your spark plugs they need to be changed every 30000 miles and and sure you use mopar p.ugs or you will have issues. Start with that.

I’ve been having a really hard time fixing my car, it’s a challenger 2016, it honks by itself, the voltage drops but the main thing is the car keeps shutting off after starting and the hazards have gotten stuck a few times. I just bought this car and put all my money into it. The dealership also tricked me into signing a contract without warranty. Hopefully someone can help or knows what’s wrong. Does this sound like pcm/bcm?

John Seaman almost anything but usually it’s just a bad intermittent connection. Those are hard to diagnose and you have to find out what lost communication with the BCM. Usually if you don’t notice anything abnormal going on in the truck I wouldn’t worry about it. About the only time I ever replace a BCM in trucks is for door lock issues.

Jesus Encinas I used our factory scan tool. I’m not sure what you need help with but a scanner from any auto parts store should be helpful.

Got busted at job making videos? Just gave up? The luxury of being a dealer tech is having known good parts to plug in like very expensive control modules. Most of the time you’ll probably be OK but you should load test any of those circuits. Good video. If you have the module you don’t have to load test them just plug it in and see if it works.

I would check your power, ground, and bus circuits to the pcm. If they are good then yea you probably need a pcm. I just came across a wiring issue where I had everything but ground, so make sure you check all those things.

Infamous M.O.B. Spark plugs that are not oem can cause random stalls. Also the pcm and TCm are the same module. I would try spark plugs first and then double check the actual wiring harness for damage

Another MOPAR Chrysler Tech the dealership gave me a full tune up and changed one coil that had carbon tracking it ran good for a while then started back stalling recently I just had the computer read at autozone the info that I gave you above is all that’s it’s saying everything else checked out find

C Los does it do anything? Is it keyless go? Will it go to the run position? If it won’t go into the run position then you probably have a key issue or RFH issue. Let me know.

So with it in the run position if it doesn’t see the pcm you need to check for power and ground and your communication voltages. To be honest though we don’t replace allot of pcms. You may have a broken wire. But I would start at checking your voltages.

I had my engine changed out 4 months ago. 5 days ago my car would not start. They told me it was the module within the fuse box called 68143314af. It is going to be 1067 dollars to replace. Does this have anything to do with the engine. Is it part of the engine or a component to the engine? I have a 1 year warranty on the newer engine and need to know if theses mechanics are being dishonest with me.

omar monzo same basic way. You need to find your power and ground to the tcm and then check your communication wires to the tcm

I have a 2006 charger 3.5 sxt high output and i get a no bus on cluster and i get no fuel pump no starter no lights no window. It does nothing ... Ive changed eveything under hood as far as sensors go even changed the tipm and pcm and a new reprogrammed key and still nothing still the same NO BUS... iam litetally gonna fckn torch this damn car spending all this damn money for it not to work.... I can't find someone that can check this for me in the Albany NY area can you tell me what tools you need to check electrical on A 2005 PT Cruiser non turbo lost communication to OBD2 and throwing codes a crazy first started done the rabbit hole 02 sensors low voltage before lost OBD2 port... replaced them. Had lije 5 people check it with their reader the the last person list the OBD2.... then flash on the cluster code for oil sending unit... replaced that the crankshaft sensor replaced that ... now both 02 sensors low voltage and brake/ cruise control switch. .. I just replaced the ignition swith which seemed to give it more power and removed the multi switch do you think I pulled a wire out or any help greatly appreciated

Is been like that for over a year, last time I checked the stored codes they were to many. Also very low gas mileage is a 3.6L with 24 inch wheels getting only 9 to 11 miles per gallon😭. I thought you worked at San Marcos CA. What part of Arizona I go sometimes to Phoenix

Juan Hinojosa check the main fuse for the radio in fuse box in the engine compartment. If it’s not blown you either have a break in the wiring or the radio is shorted internally.

Mine started right after I took it to the dealer for an update

I paid $700 last year to have the body control module replaced and another $600 yo replace the radio. Now the same thing the ac was doing last year, it’s doing it again! Plus my signal light and brake light on the left side is now out. I paid $42 for the damn bulb and it still didn’t work. All this was done at Chrysler! Theyre tryna rob people blind! Now I’m getting a u0168 code. I think they installed a bad BCM or didn’t change it at all last year

NO ITS TOO HIGH. DISCONNECT THE OTHER END OF THE CIRCUIT AND SEE IF YO HAVE A SHORT TO POWER IN THE IWRING BY DOIGN A RESISTANCE CHECK.

You can’t plug n play a bcm. Bcm are vin specific and unless it’s programmed you wont have full functions of your vehicle.

It probably needs an abs module. But again check your power, ground, and communication wires.

99.9% of the time its the Module? Far from the truth.. Such a lie.. i find these all the time. Wires and connectors are mostly the issue. and the pins corrode
