What I love about Lost is that it broke a lot of show rules. For instance, characters would normally partake in a running joke where they’ve never heard of Charlie’s band and react like DriveShaft what? DriveShaft who? But in this case, Charlie is actually successful that even Locke and Kate regard him as a successful musician owning his albums lol

The funniest thing is when he just stops the song for a second and then starts singing again like he's sad Jack doesn't know Drive Shaft XD

Someone else in the comments said that they miss/love the innocent parts like this and I agree, like the scene where someone says “have we already been here?” When walking a long while and Swayer says something like “yeah..there’s my favorite leaf” as if he can point out a specific leaf of many. The sarcasm is hilarious and I love it.

His high-pitched voice is hilarious! It is hilarious, especially Jack's face when he hears Charlie. In that scene, it is obvious that Merry can sing better.

I always loved how they didn't just do some running joke where nobody knew who he was; Drive Shaft actually was pretty famous and most of the characters had heard of them. The show was so good in those days. Charlie leaving was one of the biggest reasons it nosedived after Season 3.
