Lost 40 Pine Trail Construction

We recently discovered how beautiful a hidden stand of pine on the cabin property is. It was difficult to access. Dad decided it would be nice to have a atv trail through it so we could admire it more easily. We used the ASV skid steer compact track loader to construct the new trail.

It's crazy to see you guy's get excited for a nice pine. It also makes me realize how lucky we are here in Idaho because we are surrounded by pine. We get excited to find a nice patch of mature/old growth cedar and even more excited for tamarack. Sure is a lot to be thankful for in this world even if it seems like there isn't with all the unrest everywhere.

NICE trail. Always cooler in a pine patch and the breeze blowing through is divine! My Oregon logger Army buddy called them back stabbers 'Jill Pokes'. Keep the self-propelled brillo pad and if you're moving anything, you're grading. Lots of folks don't understand or don't care but a little extra attention can get you back on the job and out of a flood quicker. Good Job, Fine day and that last deal going backwards reminds me of the Red Green deal of Walter trying to back the boat trailer. GBWYall!

Hi Dave!!😀😀 Nice job building the new trail. Are all the larger red and white pine native self seeded pines? How old do you think the big red pine is? Would it be over 100 years old? Down here in central Wisconsin the only red pine we have are all plantation trees. We are about 100 miles south of the normal range for them. We do have lots of native white pine though. Your red is definitely one of the biggest ones I have ever seen. Down here we have been clear cutting the reds when they hit 60 to 80 years old. Any older than that and they become full of disease and begin to die in large areas because of them being root graters. Were as the white pine are not. The white pine usually only get blister rust and just die one here and one there. Have a great weekend my friend!!😀 Happy birthday Mathew!!😀😀❤ TTYL!!😀😀 Logger Al

And if you go to the other side of that lot, they would be conservative trees leaning to the right. That's equal time political humor. Anymore there really isn't anything that can be called "political humor" except left or right leaning trees. It's all just nasty insults. Thanks for taking us along!!
