I mean based on how their time travel mechanics worked he technically still got that life with Naho in the original timeline. I think he knew that and was ok with giving it up. Still sad but better than losing his friend and shattering all their lives once again

Now i can understand what he was feeling at that time it's the worst feeling a person can feel

Though the ending was quite confusing, i don't know whether it was a reality or a dream , but this is one of the most beautiful and emotional anime i hace ever discovered ❤

It was reality but in a different timeline and what the adult naho saw when she woke up was a vision because even suwa (her husband) had the same vision which means it really did happen and I suppose that even their friends had the vision too

And he told her not to saying " i don't want you to spoil my proposal " I do feel bad for Suwa and I did ship them together even in that second life and I hope she knew he married her but she didn't. Even her friends told Suwa to confess to her but he didn't.

In the manga the author made saque to it basically showing what happened without the letters (it wasn't animated its like how they did with JK with movie 0)
