    Thanks again earl!👍🏻 on your xmaxx comment, check out arrma safe D5 pinion gear. It has a D shape that relies on the motor shafts flat, rather than just a grub screw. I’ve noticed that the head of the grub screw on standard round hole pinion gears will get beat flat, allowing the pinion to move and take out the gears. I put lock tight on mine and my buddies, and witnessed the same on both grub screw heads. 👍🏻

    Thanks for all of your video’s on the SBR 2.0. I just picked mine up yesterday from my local Idaho hobby store. I’ve been watching your flex fix repair. Would you use aluminum panel’s over the steel ones you used if you were doing it over again? My plan is get this modification made out of the gate before I run it! I did notice just out of the box that there is a rear end diff leak on mine which sucks, it might be a seal that wasn’t installed correctly. Thanks again for your informative video’s!

If a person could get carbon fiber panels and use epoxy to apply the panels to the X brace. Im afraid to drill thru the webbing for fear of making an already flexing and apparent weak spot to start with even weaker. Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Earl i just wanted to share the single spare tire mod I ended up doing. I posted it on Facebook if you are in there, but I'll post a little video for you on my channel. This is going to be much better, it even looks good and it setup for it. The truck performs so much better without the extra weight of two and the tires hitting and dragging is still an issue even without or with little flex.

  • @N_Fortune
    @N_Fortune3 жыл бұрын

    Great video, I keep following your progress with this truck as I'm still interested in it. Can you do us a favor and check the axle housing to see if it's getting dirt/sand inside? I know the UDR's do and would love to know if this is an issue with the SBR 2.0. Also, do the LED lights stay on unless unplugged or can you turn them off from the remote? Btw, Gorilla tape was smart for the wheel wells. Shoe Goo mod is the best for lexan bodies imo. Kevin Talbot posted a live stream video for the SBR 2.0 body. I used it on my X-Maxx over 2 1/2 years ago and she's still holding up like a champ!

    Hey Earl. I just stumbled on your channel researching the SBR. I have a decked out UDR now - but I'm having thoughts about jumping over, maybe I'm just a little envious about the size difference. Could you make a video and give an honest opinion on both? I'm pretty new to R/C'ing, so I don't know which company is really better in terms of parts/quality/etc. I just know when I walk into my local hobby store- I see nothing but Traxxas. I hear people say "Have fun when Losi stops supporting your (enter vehicle name here)", or "Traxxas are just toys". Do you have any insight or history with both companies? Also- on your speed bump test. How do I get my UDR to just skip over it like how you tuned your SBR to do? My UDR pops over i,t almost nosing down like how your SBR did when you first took it out. Thanks. I enjoy your videos!

    Looks good Earl! I do have a concern you mentioned when doing the fix. That those bars will weaken over time. I'm thinking of going ahead and making a box bracket for that section as well with some 1.5mm carbon plate. I used carbon fiber plate on just the outside to box in the square. I made my pieces a little larger, but it works. I still get a little flex like you are on the lower bar. It's minimal but I do feel it will increase especially when we have warmer days in the summer. Thoughts?

  • @earlmoorhead5555

    Yes it will over time but all the plastics will get softer over time if the rear starts to move again the yes start boxing in the larger section I would start with half and move up from there but not intill there is to much movement is my thoughts 💭👍👍💯💯💯
