Instead of transferring a Pokémon you should be able to pick a Pokémon to max to level 50. That way you loose stardust, candy and there stuck with a level 50 1,4,3 IV Woobat.

Or max a hundo meta legendary, trick it out with a second move, elite tm it with it's best charge attack then transfer it
