Her pain is so visible. As a woman, I would hate my ex lover too if it meant that i could Love myself again.

Selena has been dealing with Medical Depression, Lupus, Insomnia, and stress, since 2011 or so (it was during and after the "Selena vs Miley" days), due to the mass "hate"(Bigotry) towards her (except for Lupus), which is why she has always had gut/abdominal weakness even though she didn't know she had Lupus. Then, after her Kidney Transplant, I believe she may be even weaker to perform world wide. Selena's voice is the most beautiful in all pop music (except for maybe Katy Perry's [actually I have Katy's second most beautiful]), and her music stands out from almost all the rest of top40 pop music. Selenamazing.

It’s crazy how so many people can relate to this song in almost anyway possible! I love it! Hope you were able to get through that struggle in your life!

This song has quickly becane one of my favorites. I think it's a powerful message & many if not all can relate to it. I know I definitely do. I am a stonger person because my experience but it took years to heal from & to learn to love myself as well as except and give love.

Everyone says this song is about Justin B. But I think that's incredibly shallow and outdated. I think she included that relationship in with the last few years of experience (a LOT of rough things she's been through) and this song is not specifically about a person or even people, but about all the things in life or even parts of ourselves that we don't realize are "killing us slowly" that we have to let go of or turn our backs to or even learn to hate in order to love ourselves.
