I was at the grocery store listening to this on my earbuds. I heard some behind me. I pulled off the earbuds. A woman asked if I could hand her an item near me. Her son said something in Spanish about me that was impolite. I asked him in Spanish "Porque las malas palabras?. No tengo problemas con La Raza". I'm digging on Los Texmaniacs kid. This Tejana and her son never heard of them. I handed her the earbuds. "I've heard this song but didn't know who played it". She was surprised that an Anglo would enjoy this style of music. Good music is all over the world. Here in Texas good music is just down the road.

I still think it's funny when Tejano's tell me I'm pretty cool "for a white guy". I enjoy music from Jamaica,Nigeria,South Africa,England,Argentina,Colombia,Mexico and the US. Somos lo mismo. Somos difierente. I've been to almost 300 Grateful Dead shows.Gone to hardcore shows,punk. Saw the Dead Kennedy's. I don't live on Kool Aid and chicken nuggets. Check out KZread. Lots of people like Flaco and Santiago Jimenez,Steve Jordan has a great video with Carlos Santana and Jerry Garcia. Tropa Efe,Grupo Mazz, Ram Herrera,etc..Look up the International Accordion Festival here in SA. Have a great day!
