Los lobos que excelente banda !!! Que Diosito me los bendiga !!!

I met and interviewed Cesar Rosas back in 1984 in Fresno for Radio Bilingue. He wore the glasses as we sat by the Hotel pool and was very cool. They were getting started and the interview was done primarily in Spanish. We did a few station id’s and I still have the cassette with the interview. I saw Los Lobos live at Berkeley a few years back, man did they rock the house. Very proud of how they have taken our music throughout the world.

Props to these guys, they actually went back and searched and embraced their roots and are proud ,as I am too born here and proud of my two cultures. 😎

My good friend the Gilbert Mosqueda turned me on to Los Lobos. He was on the college radio station and called me and said Brad turn on KFSR I'm going to play Mexicans playing Rock a Billy. I was imediatly hooked. I've seen Los Lobos over 5 times in their various incarnations. I even got to open for them when I played drums in a blues band. They are awesome musicians and awesome people, Ha ha one time I was at a club in Fresno and someone thought I was Cesar Rojas , my response was no I'm not but I wish I was...

Spanish is such a beautiful language one does not have to understand the words to understand the emotions of the song. I don't speak spanish but many songs in spanish have moved me to tears with their beauty.

Claro que simon! Los Lobos merecen un gran homenaje, ellos manejan varios generos a la perfeccion, no se aguitan al tocar canciones clasicas mexicanas, al contrario creo que hasta se les enchina el cuero y las sienten con mucho sentimiento. Mire a los lobos por television en Los Angeles Calif. como en 1970-1972 y se llamaban "los lobos del este" y al igual roqueaban asi como se reventaban una cumbia o un corrido, unicos los lobos. saludos a todos ellos, les deseo mucha salud, son como de mi edad y yo ando ya queriendo un buen tune up o overhaul.......
