Los Cadillacs empezaron como un grupo de amigos que se divertían tocando Ska, tras el paso de los años las separaciones e incorporaciones de nuevos músicos fueron evolucionando y también por el éxito que tenían en México y la influencia de Flavio, su histórico bajista que estaba muy involucrado con toda la corriente social, fue derivando en historias de grandes artistas sudamericanos y personas que resistían los tiempos de la reprensión de los gobiernos militares que sufrimos aquí al sur del continente Americano y Centroamérica también. Y claro también en Fabulosos Calaveras se nota la influencia Mexicana en una Banda que era muy exitosa en México más que en Argentina

There is a name which is relevant in this song which should never be forgotten and it is the reason for it VICTOR JARA he was a very representative figure of a social and cultural movement called the Nueva Trova, when the dictatorship was imposed in CHILE and was deposed its president with weapons during the night the Armed Forces were mobilized and these were sent to arrest political dissidents among them VICTOR JARA along with 12 thousand more people and taken to the soccer stadium in Santiago de CHILE he was assassinated in a brutally and barbaricly they cut off the fingers of his hands so that he would never play his guitar again and they ripped out his tongue so that he could never sing again while he bled to death and the soldiers laughed, shot dead at close range this song is a tribute to him talks about these situations that are experienced in the world of dictatorships and the deaths of their political opponents

Muchos hacen reacciones sin leer un poco acerca de la banda, la historia y cultura del país de origen. Para hacer ésto mejor te hubieras ahorrado tiempo. Quieren ver buenas reacciones? Les sugiero a El francés.

Si lo vas a decir en inglés es "Silver" River, pero el nombre de los lugares no se traduce. Es Río de la Plata. (Y sí, por las dudas aclaro: lo del club de River "Plate" está mal puesto porque seguro no sabían de inglés en su momento)

It's the most unenthusiastic reaction I've ever seen. Maybe because he didn't bother to find out about the band or their lyrics. Honestly the lyrics of this song are the best of all, it gives me goosebumps. If you expect everything to sound like what you traditionally hear, you will discover very little.
