It doesn’t say anything. The lakers are giving up wide open dunks and are not rotating. New Orleans on the other hand is challenging the lakers with physicality. ​@@mandigz1896 thats just wrong though. look at bball ref numbers, lakers 4th last team in drives to the basket. yet they get awarded more FTs than the next 3 teams combined. you can compare it to the pacers, the 2nd most team in driving to the basket. lakers ended the season with +1000 in a FT differential, pacers with around -550. so the paint attacking theory is out of the window. I'm not even a pacer or pelicans fan, its just extremely concerning to see that the lakers have a FT differential of about 700 more than the team in 2nd place (the knicks). The numbers are far too wide to be a coincidental. the data is right there and sadly the "drives" explanation isn't supported by the data at all.
