I disagree, LeBron is the oldest player in the league, yet people treat him as a superstar. The Clippers have four all-star players closer to their prime. LeBron's age makes him less consistent on offense, and a more liability on defense. LeBron's salary is also a problem. He eats up too much of the salary cap given his performance. This makes his teams less able to recruit better players.

Jerry West vs. Rambis and willingness to pay taxes vs. unwillingness. Jerry West is a savant when it comes to chemistry, fit and lineup synergies. In LA we just average the skills over all starters and rotation players and expect everyone to be 1/10th of the total like having Vando on the bench makes Rui a perimeter defender and D'Lo, Reaves and Prince are going to be fine, because Max and Cam are on the bench. Hayes spreads the floor, because of Wood. Wood will be more athletic and long, because Hayes is. We have great defense on the perimeter, because AD is one of the best defenders in the NBA. And so on and so forth. Lakers and LN hosts do not think in lineups, synergies and even when they try, they don't understand what works and what doesn't, because they refuse to educate themselves like D'Lo and Reaves will be perfect together, because they share so many positive traits. I have been telling them for years that the two best NBA stats researchers for lineups publish right out of UCLA. It would be trivial to read their stuff and invite them on the show to gain numerous insights that would be based on hard facts rather than the experiences of an assistant highschool coach and a history teacher combined with random tweets by journalists that also never played in the NBA or also never went down the rabbit hole of coaching athletes for sports performance and researching the data this sport provides. So if you are unable to judge athletes, do not understand fitness, fatigue, volume, intensity and basketball synergies, lineups, spacing or what a freaking wing is and isn't, how could you possibly be good at explaining why a team loses or wins or what the important factors are? You can be delusional about your own knowledge, but you can only ever be accidentally right. Jerry West really knew his stuff. He is an expert at everything that has to do with basketball and he is demonstrating that with the remodeling of the Clippers. Rob knows how to manage and the Pelinkas know nothing of value. Lakers Nation is wildly guessing and concocting some of the craziest theses ever like not hitting shots will drain your energy on defense, when every player can tell you that it is exactly the other way around and playing defense above your level requires so much energy and effort that the fatigue will destroy your shooting percentages on the other side, lead to turnovers and inhibit your ability to be aggressive and finish at the rim. Spacing also doesn't work at all like they think it does. Wings are also not power forwards that can space the floor or defend on the perimeter. Wings are guards and forwards that can score from and defend on the perimeter, so mainly SGs and SFs. I could go on and on and on about the stuff these guys never made an effort to understand but preach about daily, but it is futile. They know better. No need to learn anything. No need for any actual experts. They are way beyond that apparently.

The only player capable of perimeter defense on the entire team is Cam Reddish and his offense is highly questionable. Vanderbilt is highly overrated on defense and actually has no offense now after his foot injury took him out. He wasn't good before either, but now he is unplayable. That's what happens when you send away every 2-way player and never sign one. Deep and balanced my ass.

The biggest trouble for the Lakers is that James can't defend, but without James, the Lakers' offense is a mess!

totally agree. Soon as the Lakers stopped shooting from deep the Memphis started going lights out from deep. Kinda feel bad for AR and AD getting fouled the whole game tho. AR was only getting his foul calls when he would leave his feet and get pushed in the back, but on the ground they kept shoving him in the back with no calls like they were trying to bully him 😂 good job for him keeping his composure Lord knows I would have made nation wide news in that situation 😂

Dont know what darvin ham is thinking with the defense, look at dallas, u almost never see luka guarding heavily at the top of the key... or miwaulkee with lillard, they should be having the best perimeter defender at there not on the sides where they can only go for a reach which is a low percentage thing.

Lebrons biggest career mistake was going to the lakers and western conference. Other than the bubble “championship” it’s been a series of unfortunate events

I don't think AD and LeBron are fit to play this much minutes on a nightly basis. They start off strong, but by the 4th quarter, their opponents take over. They need more faith in their bench players.

2-9 since IST blows my mind LeBron considered staying with the Lakers this long while only going to finals once in 5 years

And that’s with AD in all but one season there, along the way with the usual coach firing, midseason trades, passive aggressive bs. But we’ve been this clown could’ve bring a bunch of footlocker staff to the Finals and he could do the same in the West??!! Clear as day back from 2011-2018 if you had TWO versions of a super team in the LeASTERN conference you could make it to 8 straight finals too.

The one person that's 39 years old, playing pretty well offensively, tried his best to get everyone involved, but you fail to say one word about the terrible coaching, the swiss cheese team defense, plenty of injuries and lack of consistent production from our bench🤷🏾🤡

Crazy how the Lakers have the personnel but can't seem to simultaneously sync in their play. Same problem the Clippers had before they fixed it. I notice the rotation of the players playing times is terribly off as well.

Nice to see LeBron`s commitment to score in the last seconds even if it's alone, to help the team. 😅
