    Over 20 years off grid with solar and they laughed at us when I started. I charge my Ebike everyday from free solar power. No gas, no registration and no insurance needed!

    Can I put this in my driveway? So I don't have to pay extra on my electric bill to charge my EV.

    But they are only Level 2 (J1772 connector) charging. This is NOT DC Fast Charging. So charging will be around 8-10 hours for 100% full charge. But I typically only charge up to 80%

    Once again, the city of LA is doing something stupid. These things are only good for overnight charging. It will take ages to charge during the day. With 75k they could get a full on system with much better return on electricity.

    How about just installing battery exchange stations where you leave the uncharged battery exchanged for a Full charge battery ...💡🤦‍♀️

    Nice scam

    @Briandkd

    Some fossil fuel companies had to make the parts for the installation so it still isn’t green

    Yayyyyyyyyyyyy, so taxpayers get to subsidize charging stations that would take two days to charge. One more battery to go bad that needs child labor to mine the components needed. That battery will cost about $25,000 when it goes bad!

    This is being reported as a success, but they are greatly underperforming. Very slow to charge and could not keep up with multiple charges without a significant recovery period. Some have called it a scam.
