Post world war 2 up to the 1970’s this was probably so beautiful. Went once and saw California in 1984. I am shocked how far it has fallen. My cousin used to live in Santa Monica and it has become a cesspool. Thank GOD I live in the suburbs and country area of New York State. No crime, trees, clean air. Just higher taxes.

Somehow I have the feeling that "Free Internet" is not the main reason people would (at least honestly) give for patronizing that one motel.

Sir I appreciate you for exposing this. I lived in LA from 1972-1978, I never saw anything even close to this. I used to have to go downtown occasionally to cash a check, and there would be some stuff on skid row that was pretty bad, but this stuff is all over the place. I lived on Figueroa in a little apartment building just south of Santa Barbara Blvd. (MLK). How does it look from MLK to 52nd St. on Figueroa?

Not far from it. Skid Row is only a few blocks away with all the homeless and the 304's are only about 2-3 miles south of Crypto Arena (Staples Center)

What does the future hold for us all? I heard on PBS that there are nearly 1,000,000 species (plant and animal) in danger of extinction. This moral decay that you see here is merely a symptom of the moral decay on WALLSTREET and in Washington D.C. Love is an action word. Nothing is being done for these people because there is no love (agape love) for these people. Any GREAT or even GOOD society should be based on Matthew 22:37-40, love of Jehovah your God and neighbor. Anything short of that is doomed to failure. God made us and only He knows what we need.
