This shit is honestly unreal. I'm from the "old school" side of extreme metal, I haven't paid much attention to anything with a -core suffix. I'll give credit to bands like BTBAM and Slaughter To Prevail, but it's not something that grabs my attention overall. But this? Lorna Shore are genre-bending and innovating. I've listened to music "like this" for almost 30 years now and this has been a complete kick in the ass. The entire band is obviously very talented, but Will Ramos is on a whole other level from anyone doing this right now. The entire package is just unreal. And yeah, To The Hellfire is the star of the show, but this song is spectacular and so is Of The Abyss. These guys are going to conquer new worlds.

Slaughter to prevail isn’t innovating that much other than a more core focused drive and some nu metal style with Russian culture. These guys and make them suffer have had the blackened undertones since 2010, arguably the ones who made it more common. Brand of sacrifice and mental cruelty are also doing major things for the genre.

I keep mentioning this in other reactors' videos too - 16:53 in this video , when the vocalist sings "Bursting into flames" you can hear a little bit of a clean-ish sing-scream thing on the word "flames". I don't think I've heard cleans from this band before, the way other bands from this genre do - like the cleans of Shadow Of Intent or other such examples

the only extreme metal song that can bring me to tears. It feels like is sucks out all the negative energy within me. heard this song for the first time during a really hard time, and at the end of the song i cried like a baby. I Iistened to it again and again, and after five or six times, I really felt much better than before. Thank you, Lorna Shore, for curing my pain at that night, and after listening to this song for over a hundred times, its magic still works. Duuuuuuuuuude…. I wish I’d watched this video before voting in your Best of 2021 poll. Id heard “To the Hellfire”, but this is typically not my kind of thing, so I skipped over this one back when you first posted it. Sitting here now having a beer after work and it popped up, so I watched it, and holy shit!

You are not alone bro, sat here with headphones, a motherfuk@%ng raspberry mojito and cried like a little baby. My teen kids asked me what the problem was…how can you even explain these emotions? This is a true masterpiece. This band works as one, and that is what makes them stand out. Shadow of Intent is the same. I’m so grateful for being able to be alive and experience this. Also great review! One love from Sweden! ❤️

I never ever comment, I rarely subscribe or like, but man, your pure reactions to this music makes me then get emotional too. It is so damn nice seeing someone genuinely appreciate the music, and not just Will, but every single aspect, it makes my heart hurt. Love, love, love it. 🤘

Fucking love the emotional reaction so much. It's so genuine, and it's so relatable. I've never listened to deathcore almost whatsoever before, I've never heard of this band. This song hit me harder than I thought this type of music could. Bravo to you and to Lorna Shore.

I guess this is your world record for the fastest to cry to a music video. Not complaining though, I would tear up listening to this. Huge props to Lorna Shore for making each tracks in this EP packed with different elements yet still keeping the vibe!

World Record for me belongs to Children of Bodom. I did one of my throwback reactions because I loved them when I was younger, and it was pretty emotional considering Alexi's passing.

So this band was my intro band into metal as a genre. I mostly listen to synthwave, EDM, Dubstep, and... this group, this EP, made me feel a type of way that i've never felt with music. like, as it did to you, it made me extremely emotional. this is an amazing group of people making amazing music and i can't wait to see what the future holds for lorna shore and i can't wait to listen to similar groups!

And I thought I'm the only one who becomes emotional because of these songs... Some people say: How can you listen to something like that? It is just noise and screaming. And here I am feeling full of power...like going into a battle... yet still emotional. I don't know how this can happen. 😀

They are musicians at heart. You can tell that they are not in it for the trend or the glam, instead they put these songs together with so much attention to detail that even though the listener may not understand what the fuck it happening, they clearly feel it. Well done Lorna Shore... well done!
